Black Mirror Park is DJ and producer located in Berlin, Germany. He's been a founding member of Sonntagsinstitut Collective, a crew that works on the intersection of club culture, electronic music and politics and has been hosting a radio show, curating a label and throwing parties for a few years already. Black Mirror Park has played DJ-sets at clubs and events like ://about.blank, Institut für Zukunft, Anomalie, Arena, Rummels Bucht, Mensch Meier, Südpol Hamburg, Sa Terza Metari Festival and many more. He's released tracks and EPs on Different Sound, KONFLKT, Entourage Concept, ...is serving, trau-ma, Safe Space Records, Front Left Records, Sonntagsinstitut Records, Death Bell Records, Ōtomo Trax, Be Sure and Axaminer Records. He's published remixes for renowned artists like Elad Magdasi, Ackermann, Jancen Alessandro Cocco. More tracks, remixes and EPs will follow soon.

I’ve been DJing for about 9 years now. Mostly vinyl, sometimes digital, always techno, sometimes with an acidic and/or dubbed out twist. I’ve played at clubs and parties like ://about.blank, Arena Club, Mensch Meier, Rote Flora (Hamburg), Institut für Zukunft (Leipzig), Sa Terza Metra Festival (Sardinia) etc. and with my collective called Sonntagsinstitut we’ve been hosting parties in some of the above mentioned locations, doing festival bookings and we also have our own monthly radio show. One thing that’s always been important to me as well as our collective is to take the political dimensions of nightlife into account and support struggles against discrimination. In my humble opinion, these efforts have been a part of techno music & culture ever since. With our collective, we’ve hosted a variety of solidarity events in support of political groups fighting against racism, antisemitism and gentrification. We always have a diverse booking with at least as many non-male artists as there are men on our lineup and we always have a political block with interviews in our radio show.

Regarding my music production: Some time after starting to DJ, I also started to produce my own tracks and have been doing it almost every day since. I have quite a variety of sounds I make when I produce, from tool techno to dreamy stuff. But generally speaking, I’m a big fan of the classic techno instrumentation with Roland Drums & stabby, dubbed out synths and/or uplifting pads. 

At the moment, I work with an analogue TB-303 clone by acidlab, an Arturia Microfreak, a TR-8, an MC-505, a Korg Volca Beats plus a few other little gear pieces, my own field recordings and foley sounds recorded with my Zoom H4N, and an extensive library of plugins in Ableton Live Suite 10.
