Hey everyone I’m Pastor Theopneustos, welcome back to RFM

There is a major issue many of us overlook in life, as we are taught to shoot for the stars, to make our mark on the world in some way, and that is simply put, pride, more specifically the pride of life. Seeking to become known, being famous or having some kind of image that is known by all for something amazing, making it our life mission to be amazing.

As a child, I was convinced of this by my peers and by adults I barely even knew, but believed because they were teachers, or on TV. I never even took the time to question it, even when I heard from God, and knew what I was called to be, I thought of ways to be known to the world as an online Pastor, to make my name known. This is where the Pride of Life creeps in, when you spend all your time trying to lift your name up, to be someone well known, you forget the purpose you were called to in the first place.

"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." - Colossians 3:17

God calls us to glorify his name, to speak the good news, and that is simple, God gave his only son to die for our sins, so that we would no longer be shut off from him, so that the issues of the past will not keep us away from him anymore, so that we would not have to look to leaders for our salvation, but to instead seek God by accepting His son as the savior that gave his life for us, and arose from the dead so that we could be free from our bondages of sin.

When our first thoughts are focused on ourselves, we become weak, stagnant, constantly needing gratification, constantly searching for approval from the people around us. But when you put God first in every aspect of your life, then he will give you the strength to face every challenge, you just need to keep the faith alive.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” - Matthew 6:33 

Our lives are not a contest to see who can make the most lasting mark, or be the most well known, our life is meant to be a testimony so that when people do happen to know of you, all they will see is that you served God. That you were a man or woman of God.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you, - James 4:10

God does not honor the most well known person in the world, He honors those who remain humble and remain loyal to Him.

Glory To God

Hey everyone, I’m pastor Theopneustos, and welcome back to RFM

This week I was contemplating the year I’ve had. While it has been a bit of a struggle, I am thankful for every moment, because I know everything God has had me face and everything He has brought me through, has been for my good.

We all face struggles, we all have a tendency to worry about tomorrow, but it is important to focus on today. Right now many of us are worried about what tomorrow may bring, the vision God has placed within you, may feel too far away from where you are right now.
But let me tell you something, this is where you must have faith. Anyone can believe in God and the vision you have, when it is fresh in your spirit. The true measure of your faith is what you do with it, when things are going wrong, when things are seemingly taking too long to happen. None of us can predict when God’s promises will come to pass, only that God is true to his word.

God will do what he promised. He is not slow though, as some people think he is. But he is waiting a long time for you. He does not want anyone to die, but he wants all people to stop their wrong ways. - 2 Peter 3:9-11

Our purpose in this world is not to sit around waiting on God to do what He said he would do, our responsibility is to do what we can with what we have, every ounce of air we breathe is a gift, from the moment we wake up to the hour we sleep. While some may face struggles, God sees every struggle as an opportunity to prove that you have faith in Him to do what he said he would do.

When you feel you have nothing to do, either because you are broke, or maybe you are bored, that is a time for you to work toward the future. If all you do is sit around waiting, then all you are doing is wasting time, the hour is always near, but you need not fear it, the future is not meant to be scary, simply a hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to focus on the present, otherwise you will miss all the lessons, and all the growth you were meant to experience, which is what will prepare you for the future God has in store.

Don't waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It's a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ. Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light! So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times! 
- Ephesians 5:11-16

And yes, you may have come from a past you are not proud of, or perhaps you have never faced struggle before in your life, but your past does not define your future, only the present and what you do with it. So do not fear, and do not waste time, keep learning, keep growing in wisdom and understanding. Even if you have nothing, you can still take that time and spend it with God, pray, read the Bible, study it and also learn what God needs you to learn while you can.

“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” 
- Revelation 3:8

God knows you believe in him by the faith you put into practice, so don’t waste time, use that vision God has placed within you as fuel and keep moving forward, and when an obstacle is in your path, and you can’t see a way around it, then ask The Lord your God to give you the strength to overcome it. Do not fear, you can do this, all it takes is a little faith and you will get the job done in Jesus Name.

Purpose of Today

Hey everyone, I'm pastor Theopneustos welcome back to RFM

In my few years of life, I have learned one thing, and it is that whenever you rely on God for everything, He does provide, He is not a liar, He does not waste time and He is not moved by emotion, or fear, God listens to the faith in our prayer and knows how to provide, all we have to do is place our trust in Him.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7

It can be difficult, when you are looking for instant provision, for Him to provide right as you ask, never taking a moment to give thanks for all that He has already provided, your health, your life, your provision, no amount of provision is too little or to much in the eyes of God, it is only when we forget to give thanks to Him. That is when we make room for the enemy to move in our lives.

If we are not actively utilizing all the gifts, and all the provision God has given us, while being thankful for it even when we do not see it, God is already working things out for your good.
The enemy likes to confuse us with the idea that we deserve more, that God has not provided what we asked for, so He is not listening...However this is not only a lie from the enemy, it is a weapon forged against you to forget where your provision comes from.

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. - Psalm 121:1-8

There are days when we feel our faith is weak, either because of the voices around us or our own pride and self doubt, but when we choose to let go of our selfish wants and look at all that God has already provided, even in our darkest moment, God will provide, you just need to be grateful, and faithful with what you already have. Whenever you feel lost, or feel The Lord is not listening, just remember this scripture.

The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. - Exodus 15:2

Trust God, he hears your prayers, He has already provided, all you need to do is thank Him for it.

God Does Provide

This week's word may come as a warning to some or an encouragement, it is up to you on how you receive it.

In my life I have made mistakes, and have struggled to listen to God, but I have never lost my faith in Him, it would be a mistake like no other. While many will make mistakes, or even fall into sin, this does not mean God stops loving you. God knows everything you have done or ever will do, and still chose to create you, to allow your life to go on.

However when you claim to be one of His, yet are afraid for people to find out, getting too caught up in the possibility of losing friends because of your faith, then you run the risk of being lukewarm. If you have ever had a cup of coffee, you would know that coffee is best prepared Hot or Cold, never lukewarm, when it reaches room temperature it becomes murky, has a bad taste, and is just no longer worth drinking, until you either put it in the fridge or heat it up again.

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 
- Revelation 3:15-16

If you are afraid to speak his name, ashamed even...Then you will begin to serve no purpose, because whether you are called or chosen, you must be honest about what you believe, when you speak with a person whom does not believe in God, they will say it, often with conviction. So to must you speak with conviction. You are either on fire for Him, with the light God shines through you, or you remain cold there is no middle ground that God finds acceptable.

[Jesus continued:] "Anyone who isn't with me opposes me, and anyone who isn't working with me is actually working against me." - Matthew 12:30

When you try to stand in the middle, by believing in God, but when asked about your belief you become weary to share what you believe in the moment. Then you only pretend to belong to the Lord, as he does not reside within you. Because when you believe in God, he cannot be contained, he is meant to be shared with everyone you meet. While this does not mean forcing religious tradition won anyone, this means simply stating, "Jesus is my Lord and Savior" and meaning it.
Your beliefs are your own and though believing in God is not a heavy burden, He never said it would be easy, nothing in life worth believing in, is ever easy.

Our time on Earth is too short to be wasting it worrying about what others think, if you believe in God, be proud of it, don't hide it, and don't be afraid because God is with you.

Lukewarm

Today's message is about focusing on good thoughts, and good deeds.
It would be foolish to say there is no good in the world, I would know as I have been careless enough to think that way, but in reality, there is good in everything if you choose to look at it with non-judgmental eyes.

Everything you do that glorifies his name above your own is serving God, everything you do that reflects the Lord's ways, is a way to honor God. As long as it is not about you, and about doing good for the sake of doing good, and knowing who God is, then you are doing as God said to do.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. - Philippians 4:4-8

The truth of life is often clouded by movements, establishments, and many forms of tradition, but when we look past all that, we will usually see a lack of goodwill, a lack of God's love. Mind you a lot of good can come out of any place, and this is where scripture says, to focus on whatever is right, meaning whatever is justly done. Whatever is pure, simply means whatever is far from lust and perversion. Whatever is admirable, means anything that reflects God's fruit of the spirit. Then and only then will you be able to understand what is excellent, or worthy of praise.

When we glorify sexuality, which is meant to be private. You are only uplifting things that are without meaning or purpose. When you lift up religious traditions, above a spiritual relationship with God, or acknowledging Christ as our savior, then you ignore the foundation of all that is good.

We all look for something to blame, in media, or the news, but in reality, it is our choice to glorify these things, to lift up the bad and ignore the good. When a man saves a dog from a river, that is meant to be lifted up, when a baby is born, that is something to celebrate. When some stranger buys you a cup of coffee or even just covers a missing 50 cents of that cup, it is worthy of praise.

We hold the power of real change in this world, but first we have to change our we choose to think, what we focus on, what we feed our thoughts and what we choose to keep at the forefront.
Even Peter Pan said it in most literature and movies, You have to think Pure and happy thoughts in order to fly.

Now if you want to learn what the fruit of the spirit are, to know what is praiseworthy, you can find that in your Bible.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. - Galatians 5:22-23

Good Thoughts

This week, I want you to remember a moment when you faced a struggle, when you could have used help, or when you felt that the only way to overcome a challenge was to have assistance or even simply guidance. But you were afraid to call out to God in the name of Jesus, or you felt that being Christian, means you should be able to handle everything the enemy throws at you, that you were made new, so you do not struggle with past sins.

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. - Galatians 5:17

The reality of our Faith is, while Jesus has redeemed those who choose to accept Him as Lord and Savior. The struggles of life still happen, the struggles of the flesh still happen, and the honest truth is, we all fall short, we all at some point sin again. The enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy every aspect of your faith in God. However, God has given us the sword of the spirit, the word of God. It will cut through anything that tries to keep you from God, but we have to trust in Him, to keep us strong, to give us the power to vanquish every enemy, again and again. Every day is a new day, with its own challenges and God has the power to help you face everything with strength, as well as grace.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." - James 1:2-3

The Enemy will often try to use people in high up positions in the Church to condemn you when you are struggling, instead of encouraging you to turn to God, in prayer and with humility, or instead of seeking prayer from those in the position to pray for you. They will be manipulative, judgmental and ungodly, with the pretense that you have fallen short of the Kingdom of heaven, and you no longer belong to the Lord. This is a lie from the enemy, because God may have called them, but they do not have the power to judge you.

There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor? - James 4:12

God will always deliver you from what is troubling you, if you place your trust in Him, if you turn to Him when your faith begins to waver The Lord will renew you, in spite of the doubters around you. But do not turn around and condemn them either, God will handle them in His own time.
There are different types of faith and though each level of faith, has its drawbacks, everyone has been given a measure to believe, meaning none of us will be exactly the same, and just because someone struggles with their Faith, or struggles with facing sin, does not mean they are any less deserving of the Kingdom of heaven, because in reality. No one deserves to go to Heaven, but those who chose to follow God, will go to Heaven because he allows it. God is just that Good.

For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” - Romans 10:12-13

So never for a second think, your best is never enough, and never believe you have to strive for perfection. God does not see anyone as higher than the other, he sees us for who we are, nothing more, nothing less, He knows our every thought before we think it, and yet he still chooses to forgive us of all that we do.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. - Matthew 11:28-29

God Loves you just the way you are, and knows when we need help, that’s why he said to call on His name, that is why he has created The Church, to have fellowship, and a covering of prayer when you feel you are alone in the good fight of faith. Be Strong and Know that God is with you.

Seek Help

We are all given a purpose in life, one that will bring glory to God if we allow Him to shine through us. There are those however, who seek to bring glory to their own name, either through recognition or through the works of others. God gives words to people called Prophets, words of encouragement, warning and even correction. It is their duty to share that word as soon as the Lord demands it.

They are not meant to seek glory for these words, and many never receive any form of recognition as it is a word from the Lord, meant for them to share. But then, there are people who choose to hear these words and claim them as their own, or worse, those who speak lies and then claim it is from the Lord. This is what the Bible says about people like this.

“I have not sent these prophets,
yet they run around claiming to speak for me.
I have given them no message,
    yet they go on prophesying.
If they had stood before me and listened to me,
    they would have spoken my words,
and they would have turned my people
    from their evil ways and deeds.
Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the Lord.
    “No, I am far away at the same time.
Can anyone hide from me in a secret place?
    Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?”
    says the Lord.

“I have heard these prophets say, ‘Listen to the dream I had from God last night.’ And then they proceed to tell lies in my name. How long will this go on? If they are prophets, they are prophets of deceit, inventing everything they say. By telling these false dreams, they are trying to get my people to forget me, just as their ancestors did by worshiping the idols of Baal. - Jeremiah 23:21-27

When we choose to share a word of God that was not ours to share, we do a great disservice, to everyone around us, we are not God, and we cannot claim to be a Prophet when we are not, The Lord shares His words with everyone who draws close to Him, and He decides when to share Prophetic words. If someone claims to hear from the Lord, but their words only glorify someone else and not the Word of God, or God himself, then it is not from Him.

So be careful what you claim to be a word from God, be mindful of those who call themselves prophets, and do not glorify Mankind, as they cannot save you in your time of need. Only God can do such things, and only in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prophet

Hey everyone, I’m Pastor Theopneustos and welcome back to RFM

You know this week I have been fighting sickness and have been feeling better each day, but something overwhelmed me this morning, so I took time to pray about what was happening.
The Lord gave me a message that is necessary, especially in the current season. We are nearing the end of the first month of the year 2022 and it should be a month of more than reflecting but of drawing close to Jesus Christ so that we are not blindsided by our flesh or by the enemy.

The Lord has seen the current state of the world, and has heard the cries of his people and he says.

I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” - Luke 18:8

This is important, not just because of the end of days, as every day could be your last, this is about faith, and whether or not we have it, no one call themselves saved if they do not have Jesus as the forefront of their faith. Jesus is the way.

As he said in John 14:6 - Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The Lord has heard how people claim to believe in him, in their own way, and how they do not believe Jesus is the only way. They claim their good deeds will get them into heaven, but their deeds are mere works of the flesh. Because the only way to get to heaven, the only way to reach God is through Jesus Christ. Many will try and find other means of coming to know the Lord, either through different religions, clubs and organizations. While they mean well, ultimately it means nothing.

Jesus is Lord, he is the son of God, born as a man on earth, he died for our sins and rose from the dead, so that we would have a chance to have a personal relationship with God The Father, and be able to join Him in the kingdom of heaven when our time comes.

The enemy has so many of us divided over what to believe, who to turn to, what group to join, when the reality is so much simpler.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
 - Romans 10:9-10

So do not let anyone say you have to pay a price to enter the kingdom of heaven, when Jesus paid the price. Do not lead others astray, by saying you can draw close to God in your own way. While God does use signs, and can even use a donkey to get you on the right path back to Jesus, it is a lie to believe that you can get to heaven in any other way but through Jesus Christ.

Jesus is The Way

It’s been quite a while since the last message but God willing, things will be getting back to normal.

Something that needs to be stated, or understood in every aspect of life, is that when you follow God’s direction, there will be moments when you must be still, and moments where you have major momentum. Each moment is important for your life because it will determine the kind of impact you will have. When you are in ministry you may feel as though things are moving slowly or perhaps you feel the need to push through but there is nothing in your way. A moment when things are seemingly at a stand-still but God has not given you new direction, keeping you on the steady course.

It is in this moment you need to be mindful and to not become overwhelmed and do not attempt to “make things happen” because God’s will is not our own when we try to act on his behalf, in order to achieve some arbitrary goal.

13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”—14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. 17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. - James 4:13-17

Many times in our planning and waiting, we try to make plans that are innocent enough, but in doing so, we can become an obstacle to ourselves, maybe even others. When you serve God it is important to follow his direction, in everything we do, and if you maintain your relationship with The Lord through prayer and reading the word of God, you will never be lost.

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty. - Proverbs 21:5

In my short time as a Pastor, I have learned time and time again, not to make decisions based on what seems to be the best direction. Whether it be because of how others have done the same thing and succeeded or because it appeared we were heading in that direction. In the end I always either paid for that mistake or had to go back and start over with the Lord’s lead.
So many of us make decisions because of how we feel at the time, or because we are eager for a future full of wonder and adventure. But do not confuse feeling or desire with God’s will, the heart is the most deceptive part of your body and when you follow your heart instead of allowing God to lead it, you will lose your way.

So please, when things seem stagnant or simply moving along slowly, don’t jump to conclusions or try to make things happen on your own. Trust that God will lead you and in due season everything will happen according to His will, sometimes we just need to be still.
