An extremely talented artist. An extremely controversial character. He goes by the name of Samson, most will know him as the legendary UK Hip Hop rapper, Black The Ripper. With a career span knocking at the 10-year milestone, the twenty-five year old is set to release his forthcoming single, One Life via the RGS Entertainment Group this April. 

Hailing from Edmonton, Samson is no stranger to the scene having released various mixtapes including Black Is Beautiful, and Motivation Music with Cookie & Chip; releasing critically acclaimed singles such as 6 Millions Ways, Why? and I Still Believe; and appearing in various cyphers  for Fire In The Booth, Link Up and of course, the infamous F64 for SBTV.

Since he started rapping in his early teens he has built a strong and dedicated street following, and was also famed for his work with Lowkey and Akala. Samson strays from the norm, and always made music for his fans, not the charts. With various troubles during his upbringing and early career, the very intense persona is something that Samson now wants to leave behind – essentially showing the world that he does have a lighter, more positive side to him.

One Life, produced by Tiago, discusses his journey through life and music, all the while showcasing his lyrical ability and flow over an infectiously alternative production. He’s currently working on a new album, which is set to release in the final quarter of 2012 through the RGS Entertainment Group.   Already getting early support on Radio 1 through Zane Lowe and Charlie Sloth.
