Started singing since the age of 5 and was involved in numerous music programs through childhood throughout high school. Started producing music and rapping in the 8th grade and in the 10th grade joined rap group Swaggeriffic. The Group disbanded the following year. In the 9th grade GR began playing Keyboard and in his 11th grade year joined the Kentwood Magnet High Jazz Band playing keyboard (both bass and piano parts.
