Chacaltaya (Mollo language for "bridge of winds" or "winds meeting point", Aymara for "cold road") is a mountain in the Cordillera Real, one of the mountain ranges of the Cordillera Oriental, itself a range of the Bolivian Andes. Its elevation is 5,421 meters (17,785 ft). Chacaltaya's glacier — which was as old as 18,000 years — had an area of 0.22 km2 (0.085 sq mi) in 1940, which had been reduced to 0.01 km2 (0.0039 sq mi) in 2007 and was completely gone by 2009. Half of the meltdown, as measured by volume, took place before 1980. The final meltdown after 1980, due to missing precipitation and the warm phase of El Niño, resulted in the glacier's disappearance in 2009. The glacier was formerly one of the highest in South America, located about 30 kilometers (19 mi) from La Paz, near Huayna Potosí mountain.

There is something called Asthu. Imagine it like a Casper flying next to you. It's there all around us. It's like the Indian version of guardian Angel. However, the difference is the Asthu is slightly laid back but disciplined. And it doesn't have a judgmental ability of its own. Rather, it respects you so much that it leaves the job to you and doesn't question. It won't choose for you. It won't know whether you mean it or not. Sometimes you say things you don't mean but it will make it come true. E.g. You wonder what if someone steals your footwear from outside temple, Asthu will bring the attention of a thief to your footwear and it will be gone. Sometimes it will miss listening to you. So when you say something followed by tathastu, it means you have thought so much about what you are saying and calling the attention of Asthu to work along with you to make it come true. So, always be mindful of what you think and say. The literal meaning in English is ‘So be it' or 'apadiye aagatum' or 'apadiagapatathu' in Tamil.

The vocal sample beckons a G-house toughness to a decidedly tactful, tech-heavy track. Soon to be released on Berlin's breakout label @Bar25, this track has been a defining staple of Dead-Tones' production style and direction, dazzling dance floors across the globe.

Having grown up between Beirut and Paris, when Dead-Tones arrived in Los Angeles he brought a wealth of French-Lebanese flair to the scene. 'For the World to Know About' is one of the stand-out productions that defined his first years in the City of Angels. After a breakout release on @Kindisch, he's also been a resident DJ of Guy Gerber's @RumorsRecords label showcases, performing in Ibiza for the last several seasons, while also moonlighting as a sound production educator and mentor to many up-and-comers in the dance music scene.

Sol Selectas is pleased to welcome back Persian artist Namito with his second single titled “Wait Till The End feat. Tannaz”. After the amazing success of last year’s “Stone Flower”, which was the #1 song for 2019 in Beatport’s Electronica / Downtempo genre, Namito returns with another incredible interpretation of a Persian classic. The deep groovy bass line leads us into a euphoric breakdown, with Tannaz singing the lyrics “Every road on the Universe reaches through my heart”. Uplifting arpeggios come in, eyes close, and we are transported to another dimension of peace. Namito also gives us a stripped back “Dub mix” without vocals, for those late night after hours sessions.
