Don't Stop No Sleep (S-S Sugar Rush)

This set came from one of those unpredictable moments you can’t plan for. A couple of months ago, I saw a post on the festival’s Instagram. It was an open invitation for local DJs to send a set for a chance to perform on the Open Stage.The Festival was expected to draw around 35,000 people.

Not long before that, I had recorded a set during Off-Week at Diffuse Reality’s event in Barcelona (listen here: https://on.soundcloud.com/i9AqwAG9OuXF5fHkis). It was my latest set, filled with the kind of music I feel most comfortable with, so I decided to take my chance and send it.

A few weeks later, I was on a trip to Ibiza (ironically enough) with friends when I woke up to a call from the Brunch team. They told me they loved the set and offered me a slot on the second of four festival days, from 18:00 to 19:00.

During that trip, I spent entire days DJing with my best friend and mentor. The morning before that call, we had recorded an afterparty set that turned out to be a perfect twist on the one I had sent to Brunch. That moment lit a clear vision of what I wanted to bring to the festival. I spent the next couple of weeks building a pool of tracks that could recreate that exact energy.

This set is the final result of that process, and I loved every second of it. I hope you enjoy it too.

Much in the spirit of the original/Prescription Underground "CD #9 Version" [which Michael Mayer puts in his all time great dance records] Dixon delivers a sun-kissed, bass-heavy groove that is pure Panorama Bar house music at its very best. This will be a limited 500 only hand spray-painted release.
