I recorded this over the course of a couple of days when I had a house to myself (for only a couple of hours per day)

I finally got to capture some proper vocal takes and opened my voice up more than I have in a loooong time. The second verse was recorded Sometime Around Midnight and gave me enough confidence to finish the song the following morning (after staying up until 2a.m. mixing/masterbating the hell out of it or in other words messing with it a little too much).

After undoing my mistakes from the night before, I finished recording the vocals, added some harmonies, and then a few days later added the theremin tracks via a keyboard app on my phone.

After weeks of mixing/mastering I finally settled on this version.

Try to enjoy it if you can. I had to stop listening to it for a while (insert sweat emoji)

I've loved this song since its release so I decided to take a stab at covering it. This is my first recording using my new Starcaster which is why the guitars sound so much "beefier" than past uploads. I also added a synth bass and blended it with the rhythm guitar. I sort of half-assed the vocals as I thought it would end up being a throwaway take, but after cranking up the pitch correction I found myself thinking it was kind of similar to the effects of the original track so I let it be.

Here's an Up 2-11 original I recorded solo back in 2014.

I was living with my best friend and our gfs at the time, fresh out of an intro to audio course at ooipooi. My recording and production skills were a work-in-progress, but I gave it everything I had in order to finally capture the sound in my head… even if it’s still rough around the edges...(careful with the ear-holes folks)

The song’s intro was something I wrote in 2013, during a crossroads in my life as I debated transferring to Ball State to study music. It was a challenging period — my friends were gearing up to move away, and the distance from my girlfriend strained our relationship.

But we pulled through (for a while), and I ended up recording this track in the most DIY way possible — inside our walk-in closet. I laid down the guitar parts with my Fender Jaguar Blacktop and borrowed a bass. My old computer could barely keep up with Adobe Audition, but somehow, she made it work.

I recorded this solo on a night alone in the living room with my new acoustic.

This was my first attempt at recording/mixing/producing an acoustic mix and I gave it my very best shot. The guitar tracks get a little out of sync halfway through and my harmonies are...well....there.

One my all time favorites by an up and coming group of young lads that have helped bring back the simplicity and authenticity of some of my favorite 90's - early 2000's music (like Sugar Ray and early Yellowcard...even Jason Miraz).

I first heard this song in Florida...on the beach...for days...only talking to the 𓇼 ˚𓆝 ⋆｡𓆟 ⋆｡𓆞˚ 𓇼

This is one of my first attempts at a raw/live recording. (I'm hesitant to say it was "live" because I was alone in my dining room (for the acoustics). I guess it qualifies as a performance, though, because when I finished playing/singing I noticed my next door neighbor sitting on the curb outside. I thiiiiiink they were sitting out there to get away from the "noise" I was making. 🤦‍♂️
