A chance meeting with a 3rd generation lobster fisherman Eric Mahar in Baddeck, Nova Scotia inspired this song about fishing and the tragedy that "there's no life left in the sea". 
A true Maritime feel with melodeon and bohdran. This song feels like something that would be sung in a bar at the end of a long day out on the water.

MARITIMER'S LAMENT

This song was written when we were living 400 kilometers apart. Kim went to a restaurant in downtown Vancouver and every single person in the place was a couple. She was missing Jim so much and that night on FaceTime told him about it. He said "when you're lonely, the whole world is in love". They knew some day they would write a song about it.
The character in the song had love and ruined it. She goes alone on holiday to Mexico (sits alone in a cafe) and is wondering if she will ever find love again and whether she even deserves it.

We wrote this song after a frustrating search for a Valentine's Day card that didn't suck up, apologize for being a crappy partner or try to be funny. It made us realize that we have been through way too much together as a couple to ever find a card that would do our love justice.
The feel of the song is nostalgic - like a song you might have slow danced to at a sock hop in the 1950s.

You're My Valentine Every Day of the Year

This song shares Jim's feelings about Kim when he saw her at a party. He was newly single and was full of insecurity about dating again.
True story, he once said to her "my heart is yours" in 2011 over a FaceTime call when they were newly dating. She knew at that moment, they were meant to be forever. So many obstacles to overcome for them to be together but...
True love finds a way.

A funny blues song about how weird we all can be in our heart of hearts. All three verses are based on people we actually know!
