Symbiotic Act

Rhizome is the alter-ego of Youssef El Idrissi, a multidisciplinary artist who got introduced to raves and psychedelic music since 2013. His love for music and the geniune atmosphere that raves create pushed him to co-organize gigs and festivals here and there with different collectives. In the early 2017, he began to experiment with field recordings and produced two ambient tracks mixed with poetry and talks and atmospheric sounds. In summer 2019, he played his first DJset with local and international artists in Murky Marduk's first festival 'Chapter 00'.
His music is a mixture between : psycore, darkpsy, glitch, techno, psybient, IDM. He believes that music can either 'divert or subvert', so he is trying to raise counsciousness by getting into the subconscious and putting a seed that will grow horizontally in the minds and hearts, because "rhizome has no beginning or end; it is always in the middle, between things, interbeing, intermezzo."
