Cabizbajo, the moniker of Roberto Escobosa, emerges with his highly anticipated album "Loved Alone," set to release under Roam Recordings. Hailing from Mexico, Cabizbajo’s musical journey traces back to his teenage years, where he honed his skills as a guitarist and drummer for various rock bands. Now a prominent DJ and producer based in Guadalajara, Cabizbajo is recognized for his eclectic blend of electronic dance music, with a particular focus on dark disco and indie dance vibes. 
"Loved Alone" represents a culmination of Cabizbajo's musical evolution, offering listeners a diverse array of sounds and textures. Spanning across various styles of electronic dance music, the album seamlessly weaves together elements of dark disco, indie dance, and dreamy atmospheres. Each track is a sonic voyage, carefully crafted to evoke emotions and ignite the imagination. From pulsating rhythms to ethereal melodies, "Loved Alone" captures the essence of Cabizbajo's artistic vision, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in a world of sonic exploration

The Walker

Having found an early musical calling with his training in piano, trombone and  working as a choirmaster in his home town of Bergisch Gladbach, it was his darker electronic throb of the techno soundsystem that eventually drew Roland M. Dill in to its clutches. Having first drawn influence from the Detroit school of techno, Roland went not to study the music of Jeff Mills, Petar Dundov, Charles Siegling and others, crafting his own productions on a bank of analogue of synthesizers and computer software. 

Roland's first signing was to Trapez Ltd back in 2008. A label that has become a regular and special home for his work over the years. Having proved himself to be a distinctive composer, thanks to his almost exclusive use of analogue instruments, Roland has also gone on to lend his remix talents to the work for Minilogue, Extrawelt and Depeche Mode. 

Roland's music is built upon strong rhythms. Ordered structures of minimalism interspersed with wild samples, FX and sequential bass harmonies. A techno kaleidoscope for his listeners to lose themselves in. Herzblut boss Stephan Bodzin has been a long time fan of Roland's work and has chased long and hard to sign him to the label. Today we hear the fruits of that persistence as Roland presents his debut ep for the label, "Suite In G Sharp." 

A five track selection that delves deep into the sound of Dill. And mean deep. Whilst the housier electronic groove of "Rhythm Of Straight Lines" and the creepy sci-fi sounds of "Tacit Blue" open the release, its the stripped beats and warm uplifting synths of "The Asgard Range" that begins the journey south.  With the final two cuts "Moments Notice" and "Destination Muscatine", Roland soothes the soul with beautiful transcendental trips that leave us wanting more.

Born in 2011 after an extended vacation in Berlin, Rhombus emerged in its hometown of Vancouver as a platform to release music from long time high school friends Stefan Zlatarits and Oliver Nickels. After five years in operation, the label has collected some new friends along the way shaping its musical identity…..the story continues.
