Inspired massively by the Eddie Halliwell - Disco Damaged CD which used to get absolutely hammered before nights out in my younger years! I tried to capture the tagline 'Pumped up funk for a harder generation' but with new tunes and my style of mixing, quick and with plenty of tricks to boot.

I am pretty amazed I am actually posting this... without too much bollux chatter, this album must have stayed in my car for near 2 months solid when I got it and this was definitely one of the stand out tracks for me, in honesty the first time I heard it melted me! When I saw the remix comp my initial reaction was I didn't want to touch it! I was afraid I wouldn't finish it and if I did I wouldn't do it justice, In the end the urge to have a crack at remixing a Tyas track was too much! so here it is ... hope I did it justice and hope you like it :)

And we are back up and running! 

New year, new format, let's go! 

If you missed my last post the basis of it is 1 hour 2 DJ mixes with a bang and the reasons are twofold. 

1. I wanted to make a show that fits with my life, a. working full time and being a dad finding time to put out an hour show together every month is pretty tricky and b. listening, when do I get time to listen to long sets any more… never… half hour doing the dishes, driving to the shops and that’s about my lot and I am sure I am not the only one in that boat!

2. For a long time I’ve felt that DJ’ing itself goes totally unnoticed and most podcasts are just 12 tracks laid over each other lacking in the live performance element you would get from seeing certain DJ’s in clubs, So the guests for the show will be DJ’s that in my personal opinion are technically impressive behind the wheels of steel and can do some real damage in that 30 minutes! 

Anyway enough from me let's let the music do the rest of talking, stick it on, turn it up and strap in for the first SLAMM’D! Of 2021 and prepare yourself for an absolute melter of a guest mix from Andy Kelly!

Best known for showcasing the harder, faster sounds, Rhys likes to take fans on an interesting journey through different musical genres. His technical ability and enthusiasm behind the decks make for an all round engaging and memorable experience. 

As a DJ, Rhys has played at some of the most prestigious club nights in the country, including Godskitchen, Passion and Rong. He has held a long-term residency at Escape, Swansea and now for us here at Delusion Events. Rhys has shared the decks with some of the biggest names in the business over the years; Matt Hardwick, Eddie Halliwell, Simon Patterson, John '00' Fleming among them, and managed to catch the eye of a few on his way:

As a producer, Rhys has been signed to Indecent Noise’s Mental Asylum Records, Bryan Kearney’s Kearnage Recordings, Darker Depths, Critical State and Soaring Sounds, have tracks featured on multiple compilation albums and notched up some support from some of the world's finest DJs all over the world, including Armin Van Buuren at his huge A State Of Trance shows.
