Rhythm Büro’s fourth release is a much anticipated EP from one of it's co-cofounders, Na Nich aka Alexander Pavlenko. Pavlenko has been making music for nearly 20 years, most notably under the alias Sunchase. With the latter project, he was known in the drum and bass world as something of a child prodigy, but more recently Pavlenko started applying his artistry towards soundscapes that can be filed into the techno category. In the last four years he’s been first and foremost involved with Rhythm Büro, a techno initiative, party series and label from Kiev, Ukraine, that has since become well-regarded among DJs and dancers internationally.

This EP marks Na Nich's first solo EP, following a track featured on Semantica Records’ anniversary compilation ‘Arquitectura del Sueño’, along with a few tracks appearing on Rhythm Büro’s previous VA releases. 

RB004 opens on the A1 with a track entitled ‘The Key’ which is one of the first tracks made by Na Nich. The listener is gently introduced to an ambient wonder wall before some percussive elements open up and synths set the mood: a transportive journey led by a kalimba-infused melody which swells with a certain ambiguity that seems to lend a shamanistic touch. A2’s ‘DVA’ is a more four-to-the-floor dubbed-out gentle fist pumper, with melting synth melodies and foggy layers backdropped by steady reaching high-hats and a consistently wise kick drum. A strong element of the psychedelic and inquisitive is much present.

The B side of the record is another part of the story: B1's ‘Log’ is an epic night-finisher dreamscape, a strong element of space seems to be the focus here as beats play less present in this foggy cinematic soundtrack to a film that has yet to be made. The remix version by Luigi Tozzi on B2 reminds us how deep this prolific Italian artist can take us down the rabbit hole. For fans of danceable, groove-centered and though provoking tunes to loose one's and find one's mind to.

Passionate about music mainly focusing on its darker shades from minimal-wave to industrial, Ludi has always enjoyed travelling around Europe for concerts, festivals and parties. She first started to DJ at post-punk/coldwave parties in France in the early 2000's. Nowadays residing in Berlin, she is a member of Dis/Tanz, a D.I.Y. collective organizing benefit parties for causes usually related to queer and women's rights. In the past years she played amongst others at Kalabalik (SE), Gothic Pogo, Waveteef (BE) and Return to the Batcave (PL) Festivals, as well as at TIQ, Ceremonies, Herzschlag x Detriti, Gegen in KitKat Club, Rituals, opening for Kompromat at Berghain Kantine, Fabrika Festival in Berlin, Decadence in Bologna (IT) and Electrowerkz in London (UK).

Rhythm Büro is a Kyiv-based electronic music collective, event series, and record label that has carved out a significant space in the global underground scene. Since its inception in 2015, Rhythm Büro has hosted some of the most forward-thinking artists in techno, ambient, and experimental music, including Global Communication, Actress, Donato Dozzy, Surgeon, Oscar Mulero, Regis, Rrose, and many more.

The collective is known for its secret location events, often held in unique and industrial spaces around Kyiv, which have become legendary for their immersive atmospheres and high-caliber lineups. Rhythm Büro has also taken its showcase to major cities like Berlin, Paris, Tbilisi, Rotterdam, Prague and many more, establishing itself as a significant force in the international electronic music community.

One of the collective's most notable achievements is its annual festival, Natura. Held in a secret forest location just outside of Kyiv, Natura quickly became a beloved event for fans of deep, atmospheric techno, house and ambient music. The festival’s last edition, before the war, attracted a remarkable 4,000 attendees, all drawn to the unique experience of dancing in nature. Besides its carefully curated musical lineup, Natura distinguished itself as one of the first music festivals in Ukraine to champion an ecological agenda. The festival implemented a zero-waste policy, ensuring that all generated waste was recycled, with nothing sent to landfills.

The label arm of Rhythm Büro has released several critically acclaimed EPs, featuring both local talent and established names in the scene. Each release reflects the collective's commitment to deep, hypnotic, and atmospheric sounds, further solidifying its reputation as a tastemaker in the global electronic music landscape.

With its dedication to curating cutting-edge music and creating unforgettable experiences, Rhythm Büro continues to push the boundaries of what an electronic music collective can be, both in Ukraine and beyond.
