Big Miz has been banging the drum in clubs and basements for a long time now, raised on the dancefloors of Glasgow he has developed and progressed as both a producer and DJ in fine style.

He’s worked hard behind the scenes to get to where he is, from the early heady days of murky raves at La Cheetah through to playing on the international circuit, he has hustled hard and cultivated a name for himself as a party rocker.

Over the years he has released music most prominently on the likes of Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Shall Not Fade, Pear and more.


 
His fun, uplifting approach to dance music is rooted in the origins of the sound as he blurs the lines between playful melodic house, acid, techno, disco and the spaces in between.

As a DJ he’s versatile and driven, inclined to play a big room banger alongside a recent off piste pickup from Rubadub. You never know quite what your gonna get but you can pretty much always guarantee it’s gonna’ be a fun ride.

2022 is the year of Aldonna. With a debut EP, ‘Morph’, dropping via tastemaker imprint Homage New York to headline shows across the country, Aldonna shows no signs of slowing her ascent towards global recognition. A tireless name amongst the upper echelons of Melbourne's club scene, it's Aldonna's high-energy, diverse and infectious sets that have really set her apart - this mix is no different.

“An artist I've recently discovered is Man/Ipulate. He is from France and is an insanely talented producer. He makes a lot of groovy Italo and dream house which has such an old-school tip to them, yet still sounds current. I think I purchased three of his records in the same week once I discovered him, he is undoubtedly one to watch! I've included the Alex Kassian remix of his track 'Eternity' in this mix.

Speaking of Alex Kassian, I couldn’t help but put not one but three of his remixes in this mix. He is certainly my favourite producer and I think one of the best in the world. He has a signature sound, and every track he makes is a certified dance floor heater. One of those remixes included is his rework of one of my tracks, ‘The Empress’ Acid Line’ (taken from my forthcoming EP ‘Morph’, coming via Homage New York in August). Alex did the most amazing job on this remix, I couldn't be happier with it and I am so excited for it to be released!

Finally, the track I'm most excited to play in the club is 'Always’ (Tooley St Mix) by Tin Tin Out; one of my fave euro-trance bangers! It has such a great melody and build, and it always gets the most amazing reaction. It's such a fun one and I feel like it would go absolutely off at Lost Sundays.” - @aldonna
