Re-igniting Rhythm Distrikt for 2021, we welcome back a firm label favourite from over the years as Tom Wax makes his welcome return with his brand new 'Inner Vision' EP. Having released on some of the scene's most established labels including R&S, Harthouse, Suara, Great Stuff, Plastic City and signature imprint Phuture Wax, we've been longstanding fans of Tom's for many years at Rhythm Distrikt HQ. The 'Inner Vision' EP is indicative of Tom Wax's signature sound; bringing the perfect combination of melodic synth stabs, commanding basslines, driving drums, percussive rhythms and moody atmospherics, all of which RD releases are renowned for!

We welcome an artist debut to Rhythm Distrikt this summer, with non-other than the legend of the underground and prolific Techno experimentalist, Michael Wells a.k.a. G.T.O., who delivers his first release for the label, the 'Funk it!' EP. Having recorded as Tricky Disco for Warp Records, as G.T.O. for Mute and React, he is also behind the million selling hardcore act Technohead whose single "I Wanna be a Hippy" was number one in several countries. Michael has produced under the guises of Church of Extacy, John & Julie, Signs of Chaos, S.O.L.O. and is also one half of the pioneering Industrial electronic group Greater Than One, recording two albums for the legendary Chicago label Wax Trax. He has been in the UK top 40 under 3 different aliases with his music featuring in films, documentaries and television. His brand new 'Funk it!' EP takes no prisoners, offering two hard-hitting tracks that showcase funk-fueled rhythms, intense synth patterns, jacking percussion, hypnotic drums, commanding basslines and moody atmospherics, delivering the warehouse Techno sounds of the true underground that Rhythm Distrikt is famed for.

German DJ and producer, Tom Wax, makes his welcome return to Rhythm Distrikt this autumn with his brand new, 'Life' EP. A firm label favourite of ours, Tom has always been a leading figure of the Electronic Music scene in Germany and has inspired many DJs and producers around the globe with his unique infusion of House & Techno. Having released on some of the scene's most established labels including R&S, Harthouse, Suara, Great Stuff, Plastic City and signature imprint Phuture Wax, Tom has also had the chance to work with some prolific DJs and producers on collaborations including Marshall Jefferson, Mike Dearborn, Terry Lee Brown Jr, The Timewriter and many more! The 'Life' EP is truly reflective of Tom's signature style offering two peak-time weapons for the 3am dancefloors with commanding basslines, sinister synths, driving drums and moody atmospherics throughout.

Making a welcome return to the label this month is Rhythm Distrikt favourite Joe Mesmar with new single ‘Transistor Rhythm’. Mesmar has been on the Techno circuit for a few years now and has garnered support from respected Techno titans; Josh Wink, Richie Hawtin, Sam Paganini and Nicole Moudaber. The EP kicks off with Joe’s original which packs a punch delivering melancholic vocals, an authoritative b-line and mesmerizing drums. The release is supported by two hard-hitting remixes from JK Flesh which provide a tougher take on the original with sinister synths, punishing percussion and dark, driving drums.
