We’ve got a special treat for you on this WUMP Wednesday, so shut out the noise of the world and press play. 

The fusion of @Pi-Wrecks & @RecycledFunk is a match made in electro-soul heaven, and despite the song title, the love for these musicians is burning HOT in our hearts. Recycled Funk’s iconic guitar licks and saxophone accents blend seamlessly with Pi Wrecks’ signature textures, resulting in a piece that tells a story of longing through sheaths of blue emotion. Time and time again, Pi Wrecks creates art that aims to convey a mood or emotion to foster human connection, focusing on the journey instead of “the big drop.” Combining this depth of emotion with the brilliant instrumentation of Recycled Funk, “Love Has Died” takes us inward and invites us to FEEL. Subtle progressions carry us into the different sections, layering instrumentation and crescendoing bass textures to sneakily get your whole body moving as the purposeful percussion hits home. When the instrument melodies temporarily dissolve into the background toward the end, we’re given an experimental climax of glitchy bassy goodness that’ll bring a smile to your face in cathartic release.

First single off my part of the PLF Producers project of remixing and flipping entire albums by Pretty Lights while we wait for new music from the big D. This track contains samples from Finally Moving, Make You Feel, and We Must Go On, as well as a couple of my own samples and synthesis worked in for that TheBusiness. sound.
