Just a fun little quick song idea I'm working on.  How much you want to bet I will now go back and add lyrics n the next couple days?  That's what usually happens when I don't intend for lyrics (i.e.. ultra dark side, procrastination, eat).  Anyway, I'm having my own fun tonight!

I began working on this song last fall around the time Super Mario Odyssey came out!  I had seen a youtube video about "what makes Mario music so great," and decided to compose my own music for a Mario64/Odyssey type level.  In general, this song is an tribute to video game music in general!

While riding on the bus from Syracuse to Oswego on my frequent trips to visit my friends, I find myself listening to all kinds of amazing music.  It is definitely my happy place and I have meant to write a song about it for a long time.  I plan on writing a pice that is about 1h15m long, just like the bus ride.  This particular movement would fall just a few minutes outside of Oswego on my way back to Syracuse.  Thank you for giving it a listen, have a nice day and keep smiling! :)

This song was not made on a C64, it's just a tribute to the SID Chip demo and music scene.  At different times, this song makes me think of multiple video games from the era without deliberately taking influence from them.  Although, I did choose the most Sid Chip like synth patches I could find.  Thanks for listening.

BrikenGuy's Monster is a song that takes inspiration from the music to the game "Wheels Of Arillia*."  It ultimately makes me think of Edgar Winter's classic "Frankenstein" sense the name, however, this was an afterthought.  Only upon a final listen through did I notice a similar riff at one point.  This song was a lot of fun to make.

"Hills Of Radiant Winds" from the game NieR.  While listening to this song the other day, I was inspired to record my own version in tribute and for the sheer educational value.  It is by no means exact but I am very proud of what a few hours of work have accomplished today.  Tier as a game is by no means a favorite of mine.  But as a big fan of Square-Enix I went into it with high expectations.  I found myself not liking the game at all, but I was still playing it just to hear the music that accompanied each area.  I intend to record my own versions of other great gaming tunes in the weeks and months to come, thank you for checking it out! :)

NieR (Hills Of Radiant Winds) - 2:13:19, 9.42 PM

Lately I have been enjoying the SEGA AGES release of the original Phantasy Star on Nintendo Switch.  PS is a game that proved me wrong back in the day when I thought there were no RPGs on the genesis aside from the Shining series.  I would later discover this Sega Master System gem via the Sega collection on the Xbox360.  As you know I've been messing around with various game themes lately.  I'm not sure that I had intended to do this one, but it worked aside from the terrible rendition of the battle music at the end, but that's why it fades out! :)  Thanks for listening.

Delving into my angrier side a bit here.  It has been a goal of mine to do some heavy music as well as my usual progressive stuff so here goes. I have been playing drums for 26 years, guitar and bass for roughly 12, and I have been making digital music on my computer for the last ten years.  Most of the tracks I have uploaded to Soundcloud have been made through Garageband on my Macbook, I cannot express the depth to which I am grateful for the power Apple's electronics and software has put in my hands.

I have been legally blind since birth, you can imagine, for some time, computers were a real challenge for me, however, I found that the Macbook has everything I need and enough power to do it all at once from screen magnifiers to screen readers to Garageband which is frankly ten times better than the recording software I learned to work with in college (Saw Pro).  It has taken an awful lot of encouragement on the part of my friends and family to become confident enough to get my art and music out there, so I devote all of these songs to them!

I began making primarily heavy metal music, which, as you can probably tell is still a strong influence on me and my style, mix in a little progressive rock and my new found love for jam bands and what you have is a stew, but I don't eat stew, lol, I prefer to think of it as a candy dish!
