J'ai été frappé de voir la dépression qui s'est abattue sur la jeunesse. 
Je ne pense pas que le monde soit pire qu'avant mais le matraquage continu d'événements tragiques quelque part sur la planète n'a jamais été aussi fort
On se prend, tous les jours, toute la misère du monde en pleine face. Ca peut nous paralyser, nous anesthésier et au final détruire peu à peu notre foi et notre confiance en l'avenir.
C'est ce qui m'a inspiré cette chanson

I was struck by how depressed young people have become. 
I don't think the world is any worse off than it was before, but the constant drumbeat of tragic events somewhere on the planet has never been so strong.
Every day we see all the world's misery staring us in the face. It can paralyse us, anaesthetise us and ultimately destroy all our faith and confidence in the future.
That's what inspired me to write this song

These thoughts in my head won't go away
They go round and round and they keep dragging me down
Every day a little bit of my self-esteem
Vanishes, and without a cry I lose faith
