Ric Dreske - Live Set - August 2014

Ric Dreske’s name has been synonymous with some of Sydney’s largest gay parties, including Toybox, Mardi Gras, Frisky and most recently Apollo.  Born in Perth in 1977, his introduction to the dance scene started off with behind the scenes work at Connections and DC’s, but it wasn’t until he started a regular gig spinning his tunes at the humble Rosemount Hotel that he was able to hone his DJ skills.

In 2001 he decided Sydney was the place to be to develop his burgeoning career further.  It didn't take long before he caught the eye of local trance legend Ruby and played his first major Sydney performance at one of Ruby’s famed parties.  The only way was up for Ric from here.  Along with several more Ruby events and countless Oxford St club nights, Ric has also been behind the decks at some of Sydney's premier dance parties, including Frisky, Rezerection and Homesexual, as well as rocking the Hordern Pavillion for the Mardi Gras party.

Ric's hands-in-the-air party sound delighted audiences time after time, but arguably none so more than when he played his now infamous 4 hour sets at the Toybox parties.  The fun and whimsical concept of the Toybox parties matched perfectly with Ric's energetic style and always had the dancefloor pumping.

Most recently, he kept the fun flag waving at the Apollo party where he made a triumphant return to where Toybox all began at the Metro Theatre.
