Underground System returns to Razor-N-Tape with the Looking In EP - a 5-track offering of fresh originals and remixes. Fresh off a trip to the watercooler, London’s Clive From Accounts is circling back with his most expansive offering to date, the full length LP “The Very Best Of Clive From Accounts.” Action items include lead-off single “Save Me” with its driving organ stabs, soulful vocals, exuberant steel pans and just a touch of acid, as well as second single “Heavier” which lives up to its name as a dark and weighty club number that boasts some heavy toasting from Riko Dann. But you’ll also want to go ahead and put a pin in “Konsumu Suru” for a more melancholic tone with Japanese vocals by Maya Kuroki & violin by Jessica Roch, the mideastern tinged “It Began,” and classic drum & bass vibes of “Spectrum” amongst others!

We’ve run the numbers and offered this record in an expanded 10 track digital version and 7 track vinyl 12” sampler, that includes a special intra-office easter egg! I've just sat and listened to the entire EP all the way through. I never do that. Usually listen for a few minutes, react and then listen properly later. This is such a triumph. Man, LOVE The Sound Of Revolution! Great vibe to it, really swings and it's got that Italo-y vocal which tops it off perfectly. My Music is lovely, too, and Italians In A Line reminds me a lot of Joey Negro's remix of Extortion's How Do You See Me Now and then finally the Bill Wyman-sampling La Samba is fun, too and a great use of that quirky intro. What a way to kick off the year. Early contender for Furtive 50 in 2019. Killer.

I definitely need WAVs for this. I have my show on Friday so if you could send them today, that would be wonderful. Right now I’m still not sure which one I will play as its such a strong EP.

The Italians seem to have a knack for the old school sounds these days. And very grateful we are too. With the chrome covered never ending, drip feed of digital only fodder, this makes a very welcome and refreshing change.

Italian producer Giovanni Damico (otherwise known as G-Machine or Ron Juan) has been busting out funkified gems for more than 10 years now, and his mighty back catalogue includes plenty of turns on Lumberjacks In Hell. He returns to the label with four crisp and refined slices of boogie business that span a range of tempos to give you plenty of party tackle for any situation. "The Sound Of Revolution" is a natural choice for the A1, dripping with cosmic synth flexes and an irresistible groove, while the snappily titled "Italians In A Line" brings a sweet strain of upfront robo-disco to the table.

Not much needs to be said about a new E. Live 7'... The only thing stronger than his track record are tracks on this record. Coming only a month after his HOT collab with fellow funkmeistro Proh Mic, E. Live flexes a bit deeper on this one. A long awaited return collaboration with Chesta Blake of the 'Do Me Like That' A Side of Star Creature's biggest hit to date gets an Italo Boogie Treatment on the A Side with a strong instrumental flip paying homage to the stompin grounds of Oakland with Funktown Nights.
