Ricardo's songs have won commendations from the Billboard Magazine competition and have been published in Sing Out! Magazine. Performances include: The New York Town Hall, The Jazz Mobile, and The New England Conservatory of Music. Look out for The Ricardo Gautreau Trio performing live in the New York/Westchester area. 	The Gautreaus are a musical family. Ricardo's father, a well known composer/player performed with the top Latin and Latin Jazz bands, including the legendary Machito. His brother was lead singer and principal composer for Conjunto Melao; he led his own Salsa bands and wrote for Salsa stars Willie Colon, Adalberto Santiago and many others.
	Ricardo holds a Music Degree and Masters in Bilingual Education from the City College of New York, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. At City he studied with noted composer/pianist John Lewis, of the Modern Jazz Quartet. He has also studied with master composer/pianist Ran Blake, and Jazz guitar legend Sal Salvador. 	In Ricardo's musical Melting Pot all these influences are combined into an intoxicating blend of Rock, Jazz, and Latin that is beyond category
