Ricardo shares his first experience working in an environmental education program in Northern California, and how his wilderness skills training clashed at times with the traditions of the program!   He also shares how this season of taking hundreds of Bay Area children through the coastal Redwoods impacted and influenced his own educational programs throughout the rest of his career.
