Info: Fixed Rhythms is proud to release a masterpiece double LP by Texas techno young star, Decoder aka Gautham Garg (as seen on Axis Records, Float Records, Amotik, Molecular, Science Cult, Subsist and more). He also runs the fabulous new imprint Toca alongside Jay York. Fixed Rhythms released a 12” EP entitled “Boulder” under his Cratan alias in 2021, and copies zipped on out the door. Not expecting this to be any different.

This is 8 tracks of hypnotic, bendy techno (with a C1 electro switch-up). You’re instantly transported to the depths of the cosmos within your mind on the first needle drop. User beware, this will hypnotize the dance floor. A track for all moments of the deep dance, with a D2 that ends the double LP with a powerfully optimistic sonic statement.

This new EP represents a powerful, mature step in my work. It’s a project that showcases bold choices and a readiness to explore new sounds. The goal was to create music that is both immensely powerful and full of emotional depth—a sound designed to fill big rooms without losing its feeling.
The project unfolds as a sonic journey.

We start with the tribal groove of "Come Closer," move into the big-room techno of "Time Will Tell," and then take a surprising turn with the dubstep-techno fusion of "Reframe." The EP culminates with a dark, hypnotic remix by FVKS, making it a perfect tool for any DJ's late-night set.

His passion for electronic music has a paternal legacy, birthed from a collection of vinyl records that sparked a sonic journey, from house to techno, underpinned by piano studies from the age of three and electronic production from age of 12. This melding of talent and dedication has caught the attention of musical titans such as Sven Väth, Tale Of Us and Maceo Plex, to name a few. 

His latest sonic journey culminates in the release "Ascension" under the prestigious Cocoon Recordings. This EP features three compelling tracks: the ethereal "Ascension," the rhythmically complex "Wahnstimmung," and the hypnotic "Inception." These pieces reflect Riccardo's deep connection to the universe's mysteries and the human psyche, drawing comparisons to cinematic scores reminiscent of Vangelis and embodying the classic Cocoon sound revered on dance floors worldwide.
