A piano note, dropping into a hole in the heart.

Three and a half years have passed since her 4th solo album 'Piano Fantasia' which fascinated music fans in the world by its lovely melodies and piano sounds. The Tokyo-based pianist and member of the cinematic instrumental music band, Anoice, and its side projects, RiLF, Films, and Mizu Amane, Yuki Murata, will release her 5th solo album 'Sunny Spot Story' on April 27, 2022.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Yuki has been working energetically with not only new releases under her own projects such as Anoice's latest album 'The Hidden Forest' and RiLF's latest album 'My Beloved Farewell' but also soundtracks for various types of video works; Robin Bain's 'Girl Lost: A Hollywood Story', Joey Fingers's 'Reduction In Force', and Osamu Minorikawa's 'I Eat the Tears', TV drama series such as TV TOKYO's 'My Husband is Sleeping in the Freezer' and MBS's 'Love Phantom', and enlightenment videos produced by Japanese government's organizations such as Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. However, her talent, which is admired by famous Japanese composers, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Nobuo Uematsu, and Takeshi Kobayashi, and has left her name in the history books of the three major international film festivals, Cannes, Berlin, and Venezia, is alive here.

This album 'Sunny Spot Story' comes in a set of two CDs; Disc.1 with 14 songs and Disc.2 with 10 songs. The songs included in Disc.1 were recorded at Anoice's studio and a large concert hall, together with the same instrumental players with Anoice's latest album 'The Hidden Forest’. It consists of mainly simple piano solo songs such as the first lead single 'shall we dance' and 'song for brahms', and also beautiful neo-classical songs with warm atmosphere played by a piano and string trio formed by a violin, a viola, and a cello as heard in the second lead single 'with all of my love' and 'my perfect place'. Disc.2 includes improvised solo piano compositions which Yuki played on her own piano with a simple recording equipment while under a state of emergency due to the pandemic and features a more stripped down sound in contrast to the songs on Disc.1.

This is a new masterpiece featuring a piano just like the great works from film music composers Thomas Newman and Alan Silvestri and neoclassical artists Max Richter and Jóhann Jóhannsson.


The album 'Sunny Spot Story' will be released on number-limited 15cm×15cm-sized box version which includes two compact discs, personally signed sheet music of one of the album songs 'shall we dance', and two visual cards with music credits.Disc.2 and its 10 songs will only be available on this box-set, and will not be on any digital music platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify.

Continuing from Anoice's latest album 'The Hidden Forest', Naoko Okada took charge of the illustrations and Takahiro Kido from Anoice also joined as the art designer, bringing together a perfect collaboration with Yuki Murata's beautiful music.

The Tokyo-based pianist and member of the cinematic instrumental music band, Anoice, and its side projects, RiLF, Films, Mizu Amane, and Cru, Yuki Murata, will release her 2nd concert album 'Piano Quartet Concert' on December 2nd, 2022.

This album was recorded in an concert hall where Yuki Murata played, not only on her piano solo but also as part of a quartet together with three string instrument players; Kumi Takahara on violin, Utaka Fujiwara from Anoice on viola, and Kaori Tsuchiya on cello, who all also joined Yuki Murata on her latest solo album, 'Sunny Spot Story'. They performed, centring around Yuki Murata's solo project songs as well as also two tracks from Anoice, to which she belongs, to create a concert album including excellent songs which sometimes make you feel a warm and gentle peacefulness, and sometimes a quiet and dark nervousness.

Takahiro Kido from Anoice took charge of the engineer for recording, mixing, and mastering. In addition, Tadashi Yoshikawa from Anoice directed the concert, and its video will be available to view with a full length on the following YouTube link at 8 pm Japan time on December 1st. Not to mention, Yuki Murata and Utaka Fujiwara who joined as the viola player, all the members of Anoice created this masterpiece together.

It's been three years since the instrumental music band featuring a dark and cinematic sound, Anoice, released their fourth EP 'invisible wall’, which expressed the world that has been facing off against the effects of the the COVID-19 pandemic. They will release the fifth EP 'unerasable fire' which pairs with 'invisible wall' on April 7th, 2023.

Just like the previous EP, it mainly consists of quiet and dark neo-classical compositions such as 'the suspicion' and 'keep silence' featuring Films, who sing in their own originally created languages in the same named project produced by Anoice, and Calu who is the vocalist of the electronica unit, Matryoshka. It also includes exciting songs that mix the sounds of a spectacular orchestra sound with instrumental rock such as 'civil war' and 'monster'.

This is the 7th album 'Stories in White' from Anoice, the instrumental band. After the release of their previous album 'The Hidden Forest', they released not only an EP and numerous singles, but also works from the members' solo/side projects; Takahiro Kido, Yuki Murata, Films, Mizu Amane, and Tokyo Ambient Collective, and composed soundtracks for movies and TV drama series. Now the band have finally completed their new masterpiece in the form of a full length album.

This album 'Stories in White' is the final chapter of the trilogy about the modern history of humans, which follows up the band’s third album, 'The Black Rain' which made themselves known to the world through their dark cinematic sound, and fifth album, 'Ghost in the Clocks', which the album itself and each song within the album became the #1 and top 10 most streamed/downloaded instrumental music on Apple Music and iTunes Store in over 20 countries. It could be said that Anoice's culmination of their entire career was built by the beautiful soundscape of the magnificent orchestra-like sound and destructive noise. Of course, like the other two albums, an illustrator, Yoko Shinto took charge of the artworks.

The album consists of beautiful and passionate neo-classical songs played by a piano and string quartet, such as the first lead single 'aria', which Matthew Krivolapov directed its music video and 'lament' and other instrumental rock songs performed by spectacular an orchestral sound, noisy guitar, and dynamic drums such as heard on the second lead single, 'kill lies all', along with 'resonance', and especially 'the rain maker', which consists of over 100 tracks of instruments and samples and captures Anoice's unique sound.

On June 25th, 2024, the instrumental music band featuring a dark and cinematic sound, Anoice, will release a limited digital second lead single 'kill lies all' from their upcoming new album 'Stories in White' which will be released on the 16th July.

This song is an instrumental rock song performed by a spectacular orchestral sound, noisy guitars, and dynamic drums, and features as the sixth track of the album 'Stories in White’, which the final chapter in the trilogy of releases about the modern history of humans, which follows up the band's third album, 'The Black Rain' which made the band known to the world through their dark cinematic sound, and fifth album, 'Ghost in the Clocks', which the album itself and each song within the album became the #1 and top 10 most streamed/downloaded instrumental music on Apple Music and iTunes Store in over 20 countries. On June 22nd, this song's music video based on short clips outputted from AI, will also be released. As with the album, illustrator Yoko Shinto took charge of the artworks.

This is a song that symbolizes the anger which is another side of the album in contrast to the sadness which is expressed in the first lead single 'aria'.

In 1978 Bernard Fevre decided to pretty much invent cosmic disco. The former library music producer had turned his hand to deliciously dark disco a few years before, but it was underground smash 'H-Friend' that really made him a force to be reckoned with on dancefloors the globe round. Well, apart from the fact that that record was, at the time, incredibly obscure. He then went from relative obscurity to total disappearance. 

In 2004 Rephlex reissued the Disco Club EP and a star was reborn. This time around, Alter K have decided to get a tonne of great acts to give Fevre a going over for a series of EPs.
