Really nice ! this version is really better than the version they have chosen ! I think you were not selected because of the voice you used on the theme, it doesn't give a pro aspect. Maybe the use of a synth would have been nice. Only my opinion. 

I had the unique opportunity to pitch doing music for the Rogue One second trailer, which is now out.  It came down to me and a few others, but unfortunately my piece was not selected (though you'll hear a VERY similar intro).  

The client requested extensive use of the imperial march and the two minute length, everything else was up to me!
