The pic is me and my snooker cue. I love snooker. I played a lot since I was young. Although the song name imagines us snipering a set of ideas ... Meet a proper way of snipering something without needing a rifle!

I also included reference books I am lucky to have. Mum and Dad fed us knowledge from young and I am forever grateful for those amazing seeds to want to learn the planet. It's easier to retain the drive for learning when it's seeded young in a person I guess.

I was dying for an insanely long time.
On the ripped thigh of the earth
A dark horror lurked in the folds
And the ships were rotting away.

At the lowest point of vegetation,
I myself am like the black earth.
Quieter and quieter, more viscous the vibrations.
The temperature is near zero.

All that seemed to me light,
Is only a haze, impenetrable darkness.
Everything is crawling away. The corset
Cannot hold the mind..

From the black abyss in amazement,
On the crests of depressive waves,
Poets wheeze in frenzy.
The sound is absorbed by the black turf.

Saffron flowers, the smell of decay.
An impenetrable tent.
The spirit comprehends the horror of captivity,
Like a walled-up miner.

All our songs are like the rustle
Of unsleeping worms.
They swarm in the ground, aiming at the heart,
But the blood is thicker and the night is darker.

My throat is clogged with something viscous,

If anyone is actually interested..... recording notes: 
- This was dumped from Logic onto a lightly used TDK-SA90 cassette from 85 or 86 before being dumped back into Logic for mastering. It is not a fully analog production and I am not claiming it to be. Dropouts/overload/etc are desired. Just wanted tape sound and went this route rather than using a plugin. This is probably best listened to on headphones for the full effect. Lot of things panning around, etc. 

- "Vlideliot" was split up into two tracks for the E.P. This gives the listener options.... I realize the intro is maybe three hours too long..... The single version is just one track. 

-There is a hidden track on the Bandcamp version. Perhaps not safe for work. It's a bunch of vocal tracks arguing. If I put it here it would not be hidden. In fact, forget I said anything. There is no hidden track.

Pastimes is a collection of guitar based progressive rock music and a couple of instrumentals recorded from early 2019 to early 2021 and late 2022.

I play the piano. Unless otherwise noted, everything is played and recorded on a Kawai ca99.


Once upon a time I programed, people called it hacking, I called it learning, I can still do it, but I prefer music, etc., 

The profile picture was taken when I was a teenager in the 1990s. I just liked the old washed out look of it. They were actual physical things back in the day. And phones had cords.

I started playing around age ~8-10 (who remembers, I know i started with the violin but moved on). Over the years I've had to re-teach myself the piano many times due to life getting in the way and not allowing me the time to work on it. The repetition of re-learning has helped with the style and technique I used to play here.

It's sort of like what happens when you learn multiple programming languages.. the syntax, etc., stop mattering as much and you just think about what you need.. works in music too I guess. :)
