Dream A Little Dream Of Me

I'm in the darkness. There is no light. And the blackness surrounds me. But a ray of light in the wall has kept hope alive in me. It gives me light every day and tells me that I am still alive. I started to play… The sound of the piano went to the sky… Where it was bright. The music matched the pain of the darkness. And only I could understand what it said. I played the waltz piece. A song that gives me hope like this window.

8. Nightfall in the Microtone Garden

Relaxed. This one is truly relaxed. Recorded just a minute ago. It is past 10 at night. It is dark outside but my garden is lit up in beautiful yellow and orange gaslight colors. I always wanted the lights that they have in Spain and in Italy. I have recorded this one also on video. You will be able to see it on my YouTube channel sometime tomorrow. Oh, by the way: It is a free and spontaneous improvisation. Like always. Please enjoy! Do not forget to like and to comment. It helps. Richard Hellgren is a Swedish composer and multi-instrumentalist, residing on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea. His music is known for its minimalistic and contemplative character, often touching upon themes of melancholy and poetry. Richard's unique style of composition stems from his special relationship with his old Malmsjö upright piano, which he uses to create most of his recordings.
As a building architect, Richard draws inspiration from the creative process of composing music. He believes that both architecture and music revolve around the concept of space and silence, respectively. In his own words, "Architecture is about encompassing space and music is about encompassing silence!"
Richard's music has been praised by notable sources, with one reviewer describing his work as "hauntingly beautiful, with a melancholic edge that lingers long after the last note has played." His first EP, Ainigma, was released on the New York label Sonder House in June 2019, followed by his second release, Felt Transience, on the same label in October 25.
Richard Hellgren's unique approach to composition and his ability to evoke emotions through his music make him a rising star in the industry. His work is not to be missed.
