” I wanted to release a song to support nurse's, and this song is due for release on Nurses’ day, 12th May. I recorded it in a local studio, and local musicians donated their time and added their instruments to the track. Also, I created a choir with work colleagues, Drs, Nurses, etc and they feature on the track. Proceeds of sales will be donated to the Florence Nightingale Foundation.”

Richard 'Ricky' Palmer is a singer/song-writing Nurse Practitioner from Portsmouth UK. 

I originally wrote this song years ago, and it had a different title "Farting on heads". I finally got round to releasing it last year. as the Farting on heads track. However, local radio stations asked if I could make it more palatable for radio air play.
So, I change the title to Jumping on beds,  tweaked the lyrics, added a few changes to the track,  and did a video. 
Now I have the two tracks. Farting on Heads & Jumping on Beds. Result!  Big thanks to Martin Kirby, the CEO of  The Flash on air for the nudge in the right direction, and for using the jingle I created from this track on his radio station.
Might get round to doing a video for Farting on heads one day...

'Everybody's talking at me' is a Rocksteady-Reggae cover version by Richard 'Ricky' Palmer,  an independent singer/songwriter and a Respiratory Nurse Practitioner from Portsmouth, UK.
The Riddim featured on the track is by Stuart 'MightyZ' Ingles & Christian Cowlin.

The song was originally written and recorded by American singer-songwriter Fred Neil in 1966 and released two years later with the title 'Everybody's Talkin' (Echoes)'.  A version of the song performed by Harry Nilsson became a hit in 1969, and was featured in the film Midnight Cowboy. 

The lyrics of the song depict the introverted narrator's inability to connect with others. Not hearing or truly seeing them, the narrator declares an intention to leave for the ocean and the summer breeze. A desire to retreat from the harshness of the city to a more peaceful place and an easier life.

The original music was composed by Fred Neil, and has been adapted by Richard 'Ricky' Palmer

I wrote this song many years ago, and finally got round to recording it in 2021.
However, local radio stations asked if I could make it more palatable for radio air play, as they thought the word 'Farting' would not go down well will their listeners. Not sure why, because I am sure they all do it, Farting that is!. 
So, I changed the title to Jumping on beds, tweaked the lyrics, added a few changes to the track, and did a video. 
Now I have the two tracks. Farting on Heads & Jumping on Beds. Result!  
Might get round to doing a video for Farting on heads one day...
 
It is a fun, seemingly non-sensicle song, but with a serious message: Time's running out, so mellow out!
