One of my favourite mixes that i recorded in 2001. Features some classic tunes that became Tangled Breaks anthems, played every week to such an eager, up for it crowd!

All the mixes i have done for Tangled Breaks over last 12 years are being made available to download as part of Tangled 18th Birthday celebrations on Friday 2nd September at Sound Control, Manchester.

This is the first time this old mix of mine has been available to download. Only just found it amongst a big pile of CDs. The mix includes some HUGE Tangled Breaks anthems from back in the day  when the top floor of the Phoenix, Manchester was bouncing to the tunes like... Mekon, Blowfelt, Green Tea, Plumps, Bombscare, Red Pill....  this will take Tangled fans back to those Phoenix nights....oh, the memories!!....or should i say - the lack of them  :) 

and for those just tuning in.... enjoy the ride!

Housing it up.

This mix is identical from my set at Lowdown on Saturday 14th November 2015. I have thrown a few more tunes on at the end for good measure. I was on before the mighty Stanton Warriors. 

Whenever I play before them I like to dig in the crates to find some quality old skool classics that I don't usually get to play out that often and mix them in with the brand new sounds. Keeps the vibe exciting, everyone was jumping!! The Stantons came on after me and tore the roof off!! Red Oktober finished the night off with a slammin' tech set. Such a great night. Sadly one of the last Lowdowns as the night comes to an end on the 6th birthday on Friday 29th Jan 2016.
