"Words On A Page" (2017)

I originally wrote and recorded this in 1992. It was first supposed to be about Gary Numan, possibly his point of view, or his public persona's view....Some lines still exist from the original draft, "I only felt safe in my car" refers to his "Cars" song where he says "Here in my car I feel safest of all"....But I changed the song, making it more personal about me and my past stage experiences and thoughts about showbiz...The original was a rougher recording, so this is clearer and pretty true to the original that was on my cassette-only album "Pop Defense" from 1993. Never commercially released.

"When I Was You"(2017)

I wrote this in 1986, had a solo version--just acoustic guitar and vocal. So, I thought it would be cool to update it, musically, adding bass, drums, etc..,.

"The Night of the Hunter"

This is a song I originally wrote in 1979. I wanted to do a remake of it, a cleaner, crisper sounding version. The song is sort of an Orwellian nightmare, corporations taking over the world...and this lone Public Relations officer is forced to coverup corruptions....Not so futuristic after all....

A fave Sam Cooke song I have always wanted to do! I give it more Beatles flavor adding lush harmonies. I can see how he was probably an influence on their early sound.

Here is an original I wrote this year. Sort of a sea faring song, love song, metaphorical. I like the idea of relying on the stars for guidance, as the North Star has been relied on for centuries.

This is a collaboration with songwriter, singer Jim Pearson. I first got the initial idea in 2010 and with Jim collaborated on it in 2013 online. I recently reworked it and here it is! Hope you like!

"Weatherman"

Songwriter/Singer...currently residing and performing as a solo in Northern California. Quick History: Was lead singer in New Wave band "Puppies" in early 1980's, out of San Diego. Signed to England's Stiff Records, put out a single "Mechanical Beat/Atmosphere" on Stiff (Produced by Liam Sternberg) and an 6 song album or EP called "Fun Is Right" independently.

After Puppies disbanded I performed solo, in concert in San Diego with Jonathan Richman, and poet Jim Carroll, as opener.

Moved to Bay Area in 1988, focused on recording my songs, did sound design for a innovative theatre company "Last Planet Theatre" for a couple years, and moved up to Yreka, California.

Currently writing, recording and performing live after a decades long break. The goal now is in placing songs in TV and Films!
