A smoky little number about growing away from a group and finding yourself on the outside, looking in and feeling the scrutiny coming back. Releasing as a single on the 8th of September, from the album Universe Arrangements due in November.

Psychoanalysis

As a boy I visited my Granddad who was dying.  I asked him if he was scared.  He was a spiritual man and replied "I feel like my bags are packed and I'm waiting for the Taxi".

While walking the dog one day I came across a dumped piano.  I scraped the exposed strings and recorded it on my phone.

I sampled it and have combined it here with excerpts from improvisations I have done over the year, building a collage and hopefully giving that old joanna some life after death.

Ploughing a furrow somewhere between Jazz, Post Rock and Trip Hop, we are making a Lynchian journey contemplating the Universe, our place in it, mortality, spirituality all that stuff.
