Orphx have been my fave industrial techno act for a good while, and one of my fave things about them is their remixes. They always cook up something epic that stands apart from the original while respecting the source. One of the first mixes I recorded back in 2015 paid tribute to this (https://soundcloud.com/dave-nullvoid/orphxd), and since then there's been a ton of new remixes, so I've been wanting to do another one (I already used some of their recent remixes in other mixes so haven't repeated the likes of FLA, Essaie Pas, Denise Rabe etc). I was supposed to be seeing Orphx live (for the 4th time) this week in London, where they were due to do an experimental set for the Under My Feet crew's 5th anniversary (https://www.facebook.com/UnderMyFeetldn/). In lieu of that I thought I'd binge on their remixes, while looking forward to their new material due this year and rescheduled live gigs hopefully as soon as possible. Knife presenta IV Horsemen, proyecto en solitario del productor francés Timothée Gainet (mitad de Poison Point). IV Horsemen es una música corporal industrializada completa con voces poseídas para un sonido que infecta los rincones más profundos de la mente.

Después de un primer EP del mismo nombre en Black Verb Records en 2017. La etiqueta con sede en Berlín aufnahme + wiedergabe lanzó su nuevo disco en marzo de 2019, donde continúa su viaje hacia un universo donde el alma humana está tratando en vano de encontrar su propia razón de existencia.

Knife presents IV Horsemen, solo project from the french producer Timothée Gainet (half of Poison Point). IV Horsemen is industrialized body music complete with possessed vocals for a sound that infects the deepest corners of the mind.

After a first eponym EP on Black Verb Records in 2017. The berlin-based record aufnahme + wiedergabe released his new record in march 2019, where he continue his journey into a universe where the human soul is vainly trying to find her own reason of existence.

Active in various scenes since the 90’s, from days as a grafitti artist, to the emergence of techno in Europe and buying his first Akai 950 and Atari ST-1040, Milan-based Andrea Riberti is a live artist and producer with his roots cemented in early rave culture, drawing from the wake of Post Punk, Industrial and Body Music. As a project, Unconscious surfaced in 2013 to further experiment within electronic music, acting as an outlet to communicate raw, post-industrial sounds.
Earlier works under the alias were aimed within the techno field, with traces of EBM, such as 2016’s “Codex Gigas” EP on Berlin-based Advanced, and 2017’s sophomore album “Chaos Theory” on Moscow based, NEN Records. Proceeding releases on SARIN’s X-MG, Marc Ash’s Blacksilk, Berlin-based Instruments of Discipline, AREA Z and Detriti Records, began to define an evolving course, closely identifying within a new wave of EBM, cutting raw and nostalgic sounds with sharp modernity.
Unconscious’ live and hybrid performances are aimed at the fully body, moving dancefloors with a charged and sonorous strain of dark electronics operating on the fringes of body techno, acid, wave and italo.

Extremenly pleased to share this set from Sawf in a truly amazing event we co-hosted with 3 Shades of Black. A  pure  lineup hosted Ancient Methods, ANFS Live and Morah, which occurred on the 18th of January 2020 at Temple Athens.

It was 6:30 in the morning when Sawf took over the decks in closing duty that lasted until 10, a night we will never forget and looking forward to live again. Enjoy the ride!

You'll know him best as @pessimist, but in recent times Kristian Jabs has begun to operate under a new alias - Soft Boi. To prepare for the project’s imminent debut LP So Nice, Jabs has delivered an hour of Soft Boi anthems on his Bleep mix. Those expecting the slamming techno beats or industrial-strength jungle breaks of the Pessimist records should leave those preconceptions at the door - from the soulful selections down to Jabs’ scene-setting voiceovers, this set plays more like a lover's hour on pirate radio. While there is a uniform emotional flavour to the selections here, stylistically this is a very varied collection of music. Beginning with Ponderosa Twins Plus One’s ‘Bound’ (one for the Yeezy heads there) and closing on Codename John’s wistful jungle joint ‘Dreams Of Heaven’, Soft Boi also runs deep house, dreamy ambiences, trip-hop, G-funk and plenty else besides. "Soft Boi isn’t a DJ act so I thought I’d do something weird, seeing as Soft Boi is weird. I wanted to create a listening experience, a musical collage to join the dots between the eclectic styles and influences that helped shape the Soft Boi alias, with a hazy and trippy feel."
