Loosing Head - Open Collaboration Offer

I'm introducing today a fantastic project that Freddie, from the MTM team, offered me to write lyrics and sing. I was straight away seduced by the vibrant stereo sound of this creation, and the incredible beat that makes us want to dance! 
This was actually my source of inspiration, I imagined myself dancing with this Señorita, performing a sensual and carnal dance, in a festive atmosphere but ultimately two beings cut off from the world, isolated in their love.

I would like to say a big thank you to Freddie, and obviously all the MTM team who took part in this project. They work in such a nice atmosphere but being always accurate and soooo professional! So I was supposed to do a fishing song last week for father's day where I play sometimes, but I didn't know any, and I just couldn't find one that would fit my style, so I decided to write this one. I didn't sing it though, it's too slow and depressing (surprise!) haha. But here is a rough version of it, I'm working on a more finished version now.

This is just a story, my Dad did take out to the Old Lock to fish when I was little, but I kind of hated it, because I had to be quiet and still for 3 hours sitting in a boat.. and my Dad died when I was a teenager so we never went out there later in life.. he was a cool guy, he actually built fishing boats, they weren't anything fancy but it was really amazing to me that he could do that in his little shed in the back yard.. 

Getting up at 4a m before the birds are singing
Rise and shine to the smell of the coffee percolating
Load up the truck put the gear in the boat we’ll spend the day out fishing 
What a way to spend a saturday, out on the river 
And the coffeeville road is dark and long but we know which way to go
we’ve been this way a million times to our favorite fishing hole…

And we can feel the breeze, and watch the wind blow through the trees

The river is life, the river is love, but the river is tough sometimes

it’s full of the memories of my dad and me together
And it feels like it goes on and on, but nothing lasts forever

 And the Coffeeville road don’t seem as long as it did those years ago
And were going one more time to our favorite fishing hole..
