Marking my third collaboration with gifted pianist Debra Buesking, what an honor and treat to have her add her piano magic to a tune I wrote some 25 years ago on a warm summer evening in Colorado.  The Godin guitar seemed the perfect voice to express the warmth and intimacy of a summer evening reverie, and Debra's piano the perfect accompaniment, like two friends enjoying a glass of wine. The only thing from the original recording is the vocal, me in 2002.  I've kept the original vocal because I like how I stylised it, though I'm not entirely sure what I was aiming for there, most likely trying to sound like someone - though I can't remember who! 

It's got the benefits of being a voice about 19/20 years younger than the present one!  I'm by no means fallen to pieces, but have a notably different voice at 42 to the one I had at 22! I did try to re record a little piece of the vocal, just a couple of words, won't say which bit, only because it was a lyric I didn't love, but that sadly made the voice difference over 20 years glaringly obvious, because of which I've left the vocal as it was.

Thank you very much Oddrun and Ad for this very fine  second collaboration between us.
As Oddrun writes in her description the song was written and finished just before the outbreak of the war in Ukraina.
 We are overwhelmed with sympathy and sorrow for all the poor people who are suffering in this meaningless war, 

 this is a song that focus on the wonderful peace in nature.
Emily Jane Brontë (30 July 1818 – 19 December 1848) was an English novelist and poet who is best known for her only novel, Wuthering Heights, now considered a classic of English literature. She also published one book of poetry with her sisters Charlotte and Anne titled Poems by Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell with her own poems finding regard as poetic genius.

The babbling noise of Wyming Brook as you climb the kilometre 'footpath' is incessant throughout the year. Slippery and muddy in winter the walk can be tricky (especially for arthritic knee sufferers!). In summer the joys of the ascent can soothe the mind as the only the sound of rushing water can.
