Manu Barcelo (@manubarcelo)& Cu da Curuxa (@cudacuruxa) are DJs and producers from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Manu Barcelo from House / Disco, and Cu da Curuxa from Indie Dance / Dark Disco, both active members of production companies and record companies: By Womans and Logia Records. They have managed to find themselves musically through groovy basses, Italo disco fills, and cosmic and spatial melodies.

Two confined souls are looking for each other around the house: they feel each other, look at each other, a ract each other. Finally they meet in front of a synthesizer and the “seduzione” immediately becomes “irresistibile”. The fusion of their desires turned into music and the enclosure turned into freedom. This is how this EP was born. Includes Remixes of Imanol, Panko & Inda Jani.

Founded in Uruguay in June 2018 by Imanol Castro (aka Imanol), in 2020 Panko joined the crew as curator. U ́re Guay (@ureguay), is an independent label that releases varied genres from House, Electro, Acid, Techno, and old sounds of Funk, Disco, Afrobeat, and other eclectic rhythms.

We’re happy to cordially invite you to the Regression Session, hosted by eternal Philadelphia scene flag bearers @zillasonacid ! And if you think this sounds awfully lot like a scam, you’re probably right: „Regression Session“ is just a front of their illegal black market operation, trading raw uncut gems on a large scale. Just listen to the opener and title track and you won’t exactly have a strong case for the Zillas selling out, but rough as it is, this thing is capable of destroying any dancefloor it touches. Looking at their recent releases it’s fair to say the Z’s are on quite a run, putting out music on labels like Permanent Vacation, Throne Of Blood, Multi Culti or Ivan Smagghe’s Disques de la Mort. Tunes like the sneaky rough slow burners „Underling“ or „Start Digging“ sound like they could be lifted from the latter’s infamous DJ sets, while the deceptively titled „Cha Cha Cha“ or closer „Casual Observer“ justify the „Acid“ in the artist name. „Shining Snakes Across The Lake“ is what some years might have been called a mid-tempo house roller and probably counts as downtempo these days. Speaking of tempos, the penultimate „Sweet Days Of Discipline“ starts of masquerading as reaaally downtempo, but ends up throwing 155bpm kick drums at you, so better watch out, all you k-hole ravers! Let’s not forget to talk about „bquiet“, which is what you’d call mid-tempo house these days (125bpm) and uses the eternally banging combination of a jacking beat, a polyrhythmic bass line, some lead-synth stabs and talking vocal slices. You can practically smell the sweat. So what’s left to say? What you see is what you get: They are Zillas, and they are on Acid. And they provide a collection of eight tunes that probably each don’t necessarily have a double-digit amount of tracks in their DAW projects, and that’s exactly what makes them so forceful. Machinegewehr tells a tale of interstellar love with his third EP for Bordello A Parigi, The Cordyceps. Four glimmering works make up this star crossed story of electro disco. The listener is wrapped in warmth from the outset with the sweetened vocals and clean synths of the title piece. “Shivergold”, with its lush pads and arpeggios, pulls you to the floor before the pulsating grooves of “Knight 634” take hold. The final embrace comes with the soothing sounds of “A Girl You Know”. A lost romance from distant world, a kiss goodbye.

Matroda - The Beginning

Kill or B Killed is my debut release on @Lowlypalace and the first part of a larger story I'm going to share with you over the next few months. Each of my upcoming releases is the soundtrack to a story featuring two characters that will be revealed in artwork and animations. This is something I've had in my head for a very long time and I can't wait to share it with you!!!

Kill or B Killed:
"In a post-apocalyptic world a woman and her wolf companion are kidnapped by a machine and dropped in a dark room with several other random people. Confused and scared, they all turn around to see a completely decomposed body hooked up to a set of VR goggles closed off by bullet proof glass. Weapons drop from the ceiling at everyones feet and a robotic voice comes on a loud speaker saying, “There is no escape, kill or be killed.” The computer has been on a loop for years after the VR junkie’s death, repeating it’s sick death game on a loop."

Feeling excited to introduce the first extract of the third and last Tabernacle Ep. We already spoke about Richard Rossa e his feats onto the swedish disco scene. Now his ardent work takes shape through this killer tool called Top Hat ep, finally including the original track (missing on Tabernacle vinyl), sounding groovy, magnetic, cold, biting as a pure northern gentleman. 

Included also are the unrestrainable In Flagranti mix (on the vinyl) bringing a wicked disco breeze, sectioning drops and attacks, accompanying us to a 'discoteca chiusa' at sunshine... And the Monitor 66's version. Just two words about this provocative swedish project also out for the quality House Of Disco label: Monitor 66 use to say 'We make sunset inspired music with funky basslines' but there's someting more, something sexy and deep, just listen to their version and you'll know.

Not enough for the workaholics Tabernacle monkeys: here an incisive b side, Cosmopolitics, moving through distortion, italo moods, fat claps and a trail of european uncertainty.. Rambla Boys are the icing on the cake, their version of the track is made on an evocative crescendo straight to a deep explosion on a concrete cosmo-beach. After amazing remixes for Black Strobe, Ben Mono and a sexy single with Stee Downes the guys from Venice break the bank with the freshest groove.
