Rising Star Freudenthal remixes Tiempo de Malad's "Soufi" for Nein Records

One of the key figures of the Berlin techno disco/chug scene and founder of the Kater Blau based Feinstoff parties, @freudenthal a.k.a 1/2 of @Pardonmoiband is a busy man – not only organizing the most colourful & sophisticated parties at respected venues like Salon Zur Wilden Renate, or Ritter Butzke, but also with a number of high quality releases (EP’s & Remixes) on labels such as Höga Nord Rekords, NEIN Records and Roam Recordings as well as his glorious live/DJ sets at Katerblau & Bachstelzen.

Coobe - Zarathustra (Thomass Jackson Remix) [Playground Records] (2018)

Brainchild of Multi Culti A&R, Sascha Funke and Niklas Wandt were introduced by Dreems, who charted a course for the seasoned Berlin-based producer and funky multi-percussionist and singer. 

Wandt was just about to enter the scene forcefully with his collaborative 2LP with Wolf Müller and the debut single of his band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge. In the icey cold of his warehouse rehearsal space, Funke had him record a variety of slapped, bowed and scratched percussions (congas, talking drum, prepared cymbals played with a bass bow) over his tracks. These first efforts were later expanded into joint sessions at Sascha's home studio and, within a few weeks, the journey reached it’s destination: Wibe strasse, Deutschland.

At first glance, they seem an odd couple: a techno veteran of almost thirty years meets a side-burned upstart socialized in Free Jazz and Krautrock. but the shared sonic influences come through in the hypnotic, dubbed-out sound, perhaps rooted in the close connection the two share to the Rheinland region in West Germany, Funke as part of the Kompakt family and Wandt by origin and socialization in the Cologne and Düsseldorf music scene centered around the Salon des Amateurs. Regional flavours, global appeal. Multi Culti, promoting local collaboration, one freaky record at a time.

Sascha Funke & Niklas Wandt - Umarmung Aus Holz

Co-founder of Duro, Moises Ramirez, aka Moisees, is back with a new EP that follows his excellent remix of "THXTASY" by Mijo and his latest release, "Train Station Philosophy". Here we present the remix of their original song "The Death Of Hope", by the Italian producers Younger Than Me, which envelops us in a nocturnal mystery, where the riffs go up and down the scale as the track progresses.

PREMIERE: The Death Of Hope (Younger Than Me Remix) [Duro Label] (2019)

The original I’m Wild, Oh I See was part of REPVII released in 2017. Remixed by Id!r and Theus Mago. They gave the track a more dancefloor orientated feel. The two Remixers met and became friends back in 2014 in Paris. This is a swift and thunderous collaboration between the two, made in Theus studio in Mexico City. Theus Mago is the alter ego of Mexican producer Mateo González.
