DJ WEGHA @ O.Z.O.R.A. One Day In London 2016

It would be difficult to remember the exact details of how the team was born after so much time, but one thing is certain – the Rf-Crew is the 2.0 version of an exceptional, music-mad group of friends. Founding members and name-givers: Dj Szamy & Dj Ad-M.
The crew first started spreading their wings around 2003 in “the heart of the Great Alföld (Hungarian Plain)” and was hugely inspired by the welcome their smaller-larger outdoor and indoor attempts to fly got. This is exactly what they needed. Thanks to the initial success and motivation, the path, idea and attitude towards life that the team would have liked to follow started unfolding in front of them.

Their first bigger milestone was the Tiszaparty organized in 2006 where the visitors were no longer entertained solely by Rf-Crew DJs, but also by the whole Hungarian goa scene’s cream of the crop who made their appearance as well. A long line of Tisza-parties followed, held in each consecutive year (2006,2007,2008,2009,2010). The great news of the weekend-long mini festival spread quickly and even crossed borders. There were more than 1000 visitors at the 2008 party held on the Rákóczifalva beach. In the meantime the Rf-Crew joined forces with the other big Alföld-based group of party organizers, the Thermal Team, which resulted in a series of psychedelic parties held in the Mindszent castle-spa; the Tavaszi Zsongás and Red October and later the Summer Open Air and Psylvester as well. It wasn’t long before the Mindszent castle became the “citadel of Alföld goa”, featuring local and foreign artists such as: Para Halu, Kalumet, Aurafood, Venom Sense, Deto, Mindflow, Yarn, Snag the Sunshepherd, JIS, Big Bacterials, Parallel Dialog, Champa, Basic, The Freak Show.

The Rf-Crew continues to play a significant role in the local goa scene today keeping true to their original philosophy. The events hosted by them are hallmarked by high standards, diversity and popularity. You can find their DJs on the lineups of many psychedelic music events.

With influences ranging from early Hallucinogen, X-Dream, and Cosmosis to modern artists such as Ajja, Rastaliens, Talpa, and Electrypnose, the Simiantics sound is always energetic and psychedelic, and is part of the wonderful family at Peak Records. Collaborations with artists such as Ajja, Dirty Saffi, Tristan, Nigel, and Asimilon have also been unleashed.
One of the primary aims of the Simiantics project has always been to create an interesting live act. After much experimentation, a setup consisting of Nintendo Wii remotes as well as other MIDI controllers has been devised, which allows live remixing and tweaking in order to respond to the crowd in a visible and entertaining manner.

Simiantics has performed at a number of festivals and venues around the world, including Goa, Germany, Thailand, England, Bali, Australia, Singapore, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Russia, to an overwhelmingly positive response.

Hungarian duo, Ferenc Majercsik and Nandor Horvath, the imaginative producers behind YARN ( Blue Tunes Chillout Records) made their exlusive mix for radiOzora.

Yarn is an exciting, experimental downtempo project from two of Hungary’s top producers, Ferenc Majercsik and Nándor Horváth. Combining elements of dub, breaks, hip hop beats and ambient soundscapes, the pair maintain variety and quality throughout their compositions.
Attention to detail is the first thing you notice, the drum hits perfectly crafted and arranged into unique cadences, the pads organic and haunting. At times uplifting, at times dark and pensive, the music keeps moving and evolving, adding layers over grooves and complex percussion. Shifting between genres to find a sound all their own, they can be both engaging and relaxing – taking listeners on long, strange trips.

They have released a full length album entitled Yarnia, as well as four EPs, and are releasing an album in the upcoming weeks on Blue Tunes Chillout Records.

Fuzz Club is an independent record label, online store and production company that focuses on experimental rock and roll, influenced by shoegaze, electronica, noise, garage, blues, folk and psychedelia.
Based in East London, Fuzz Club has gained a reputation for surfacing the best emerging talent from Europe and beyond, and releasing them on high end, limited edition vinyl pressings, alongside a roster of the best known names in the underground scene including Anton Newcombe, Goat, Alan Vega, The Black Angels, Dead Skeletons, A Place to Bury Strangers, The Telescopes, Sonic Jesus and The Underground Youth.
Established in rural Norway during the 24 hour darkness of the Arctic winter, Fuzz Club entered the scene in 2012 with their compilation The Reverb Conspiracy – made in collaboration with Austin Psych Fest – a now annual release capturing the essence of the underground scene as it is today.

Khromata -  Opening Set for Neuromotor Pulse SF Nov 2012

The name of this mix is inspired by the Apsara, or in Thai อัปสร (Apson), the beautiful dancing supernatural female beings of the clouds found in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. When I made this mix I could envision these Apsons dancing sensually through dubby fractal space goddess palaces floating in the sky....hence the name :)
