This is a song I have tried to write a million times and today, well it was one of those days and the words just came. I wrote and recorded this on my badly out-of-tune upright over the last two hours, so it may evolve, but I just wanted to share this one with the world... And I've recently lost my voice, so please excuse the scratches!

If you are ever having one of those days, please try to talk to someone and share your feelings. It took me far too long to have the conversation I needed. ❤️

As a singer, songwriter and composer, Richard is making a name for himself with his funny, sincere and creative lyrics. He has performed his solo show at venues around Melbourne and has recently recorded his first single, Coming Down My Drive. He performs regularly on Twitch - search for RichardThornton.

On trumpet, Richard performs with Funk Buddies and has toured Australia, New Zealand and Asia playing in various ensembles. He's played on TV and radio, and has played with Melbourne's leading theatre companies.

Richard also recently wrote a song, played in the band and recorded an album for Society the Show, a burlesque circus appearing in the Melbourne Fringe Festival, 2019. Man Like Me was one of a number of original tracks for the show and has been released by Funk Buddies on their album Music from Society.
