It was only a matter of time before two of the most prolific bass house producers in the game got together for a massive collaboration. BIJOU and Drezo, who forged their friendship over a decade ago in the Arizona rave scene, rekindled their connection in 2017, marking their dominance in the Bass House touring arena. Six years later, they've teamed up again for their much-anticipated collaboration, "GOONS." Over the past few years, these two House maestros embarked on more than five different projects before perfecting this track, tailored for the summer festival audience. Receiving support from renowned artists globally, "GOONS" is poised to shake up the house scene with its fresh and distinctive approach to contemporary dance music.

1. Why did you specifically remix this song?

I grew up with hip hop and RnB and it has been my first and forever musical love. Poison was a song that consistently got great crowd reactions when spinning, so I thought why not give it a new modern spin. I wanted to bring that warm feeling from the original and give it a drop that smacked listeners in the ears. So what you have here is exactly that!

2. What got you into producing?

Music has been a part of my life from the moment I could start remembering things. I played multiple instruments growing up and always played in bands. From the moment I heard electronic music I knew that I wanted to produce it as it was the obvious and most easily approachable musical step.

3. Who are some up and coming producers that you have your eye on?

Arnold and Lane, Adrian Hex, Westend, Aylen, Ocean Roulette, Morelia, Roy Havens, Clem Lee, Sammy Legs, TCHilT, Das Kapital and Niqw. All these guys have come out of the woodwork in the past year or two and are pushing the boundaries of house music. MUST WATCH.

4. Drop some wisdom, any advice to the up and coming producers?

The biggest thing I can recommend is to not worry about staying in a genre lane. Make what sounds good to you and it will fall into place. While I have been in the booty and tech house genre spaces, I continually make things that don’t fit in those genres and it makes me think of things differently than I normally would.

Also, be respectful. This industry is just as much about personality as it is about the music. I hope that helps.
