Cover of "Your song" by Elton John with Stu on lead acoustic

This cover is a work in progress, but wanted to upload it in it's current form as I'm looking for some help with the strings at the end of the track (see the original for reference material).

I may or may not do the vocals for this track and the drums need some 'humanising...'.

Birds of Tokyo - cover - If This Ship Sinks (I give in)

#CovidCoverChallenge <-- go and see what that's all about on youtube and facebook. 
That challenge inspired me to record a while song. I've loved the album this is from a long time and this track always stood out.

Drums - extracted midi from Guitar Pro tab sites. Tweaked in cubase and 'voiced' by EZdrummer
Bass - the recording is one take
Guitars - both guitars are one take. ESP Ltd Deluxe and a Variax using  a Telecaster model with a mini humbucker on the bridge.
Vocals - One take! (but with one word spliced from elsewhere as I royally screwed it up on that take.
No real 'editing' to speak of, just EQ's, effects, amp modelling etc
So nothing on this track is perfect, but I wanted to do as a mixing exercise. I've never really properly compressed things or EQ'd instruments to suit the other ones there. Yeah, I've gone alot deeper into Cubase this last week and I've been loving it.

The Outsider

So I'm pretty happy with this.

Vocal track is one take, so I'm loathed to re-record the first verse even though it's a bit wobbly!
All piano/strings etc were taken from interactive guitar tab sites, but tweaked velocities/effects to make them sound more 'human'
