The Lightspeed Theme

My last date was a disaster.
He was late – with a shitty blaster.
He then said flatly: "You look different!"
Yeah, sorry, Photoshop doesn't live in the house.
I'm sick of Tinder and the like.
Then those guys are nice, but my sofa is happy.
Because instead of freezing in a café with him,
I can serve myself a burger!

I only date myself now – I'm simply perfect.
I bring myself flowers and pay directly!
I listen to myself without rolling my eyes,
and I'll definitely never ghost myself!

Movie? Sure, I'll treat myself,
popcorn deluxe – and all by myself.
No one whispering: "What's going on?"
I tell myself – I'm not short on cash!

No more drama, no more "Where are you?"
I text myself: "Baby, rest, you!"
And if I ever have an argument, all with myself,
I quickly make up – with a bottle of wine!
I don't need a man to be happy,
because I can even forgive my heating.
I make myself breakfast, and guess what,
I even eat the last waffle – no matter!

I only date myself – because no one is better,
I write myself poems and cuddle nicer!
And if anyone can ever impress me,
it's only if they cook – and can run the dishwasher!
