Before I used MAGIX Music Maker, Cakewalk by Bandlab, SoundBridge and other DAWs, I made music with Sony ACID Xpress 7.0, which is a free, stripped down version of ACID Pro that only gives you 10 tracks worth of putting loops in. For the most part, I usually just put random loops together that I thought sounded pretty good together. Or make something really weird, like this song.

The Jingle Blah Place (Nyoron! Churuya-san Remix)

Here's a Corpse Party remix that's a combination of "Kizami's Awakening" from Corpse Party: Book of Shadows and "A Charming Time" from Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash.

This remix is intended as Azusa's theme. The first half is inspired by the Boss Blitz Galaxy theme from Super Mario Galaxy 2, and it's meant to represent Azusa being uneasy about either herself or the trust of her peers. The second half is more inspired by the Battlerock Galaxy theme from Super Mario Galaxy, and it's meant to represent Azusa doing something heroic.

I felt like remixing the songs from Friday Night Funkin' to make them reminiscent of the Bad and Awful mode variations in the PaRappa the Rapper/Um Jammer Lammy series, where the worse you do in a stage, the more the scenery and music changes for the worse.

For the BAD and AWFUL Mode remixes of "Ugh" I was aiming to 1) have the remixes be less serious than the original song, and 2) sneak in "Tankmen 5.5" by Stamper. I also wanted to change the "Ugh" sound Tankman makes in the stage for each variation. In this case, I used the second "Ugh" take from the original recording JohnnyUtah shared on Twitter. 

Also, I unintentionally made this remix a reggae, but I decided to just go with it.

Tutorial BAD Mode remix

I felt like remixing the songs from Friday Night Funkin' to make them reminiscent of the Bad and Awful mode variations in the PaRappa the Rapper/Um Jammer Lammy series, where the worse you do in a stage, the more the scenery and music changes for the worse.

For the BAD Mode remix of "Thorns," I was aiming it to be a more ominous version of the original song, having it sound like the world is deteriorating as you perform poorly in the battle against Spirit.

I thought it would also be a fun attention-to-detail if I bit-crushed the PaRappa squeak samples used throughout the remix since the audio in Week 6 is already bit-crushed.

Thorns BAD Mode remix

I felt like remixing the songs from Friday Night Funkin' to make them reminiscent of the Bad and Awful mode variations in the PaRappa the Rapper/Um Jammer Lammy series, where the worse you do in a stage, the more the scenery and music changes for the worse.

For the AWFUL Mode remix of "Thorns," I was aiming it to be even more ominous than the BAD Mode remix, especially with the lack of percussion, the increased amount of Giygas noises, the warped pad that plays sometimes, and the bit-crushed atmospheric recordings from Spitfire LABS's Tundra Atmos and London Atmos heard in the background. This truly makes it sound like you truly screwed up now, and Spirit is close to taking over your body as the world deteriorates even more.

I thought it would also be a fun attention-to-detail if I bit-crushed the PaRappa squeak samples used throughout the remix since the audio in Week 6 is already bit-crushed.

For the AWFUL Mode remix of "Bopeebo," I was aiming it to be a even more stripped-back than the BAD Mode remix, especially with the bass and kick being more limited, the synth marimba only playing one note instead of chords, and distorting the bass and synth marimba.

I also felt like changing the sound that plays when Boyfriend strikes his V-sign pose. In this case, I used a sample from PBG's "WEIRD ZELDA COMMERCIALS!" video because I had that sample on my hard drive, and I couldn't think of a better sample to use.

A Vector Approaching (Instrumental)

This is song 3 of the VS Big Sis mod. I volunteered to make the songs for this mod because I thought the concept was interesting.

For this song, I heard a melody loop and wanted to build upon it. The loop is actually called "Forget," but I used it because it sounded just right for the mood of the song.

In the middle of the song, there's a synth loop that sounds like something from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I thought it would be a nice touch to the song, so I made a Vital synth preset and used that.

The title was just me trying to find a phrase similar to "see you then," so I used the phrase "until next time" because I thought that was similar enough (the title's shortened to just "Until" in-game, though).

Fun fact: this is the second song I made for the mod. I got the info for how each song should sound beforehand, and I finished this one before finishing song 2 because I had a clear idea on how the vocals and instrumental should go.

Until Next Time

This is song 2 of the VS Big Sis mod. I volunteered to make the songs for this mod because I thought the concept was interesting.

This song originally started as a jingle idea I made for Approach Vector Studios; it didn't really go anywhere, but then I heard it be used as a demo theme for and AVS original. I did have thoughts of turning the jingle into a song, but I didn't feel the motivation to turn it into one until I heard that demo theme. I got permission from TDW_8021 (the Chief Creative at AVS) to make a song out of the jingle for this mod, and I went from there. And yes, the song title itself is referencing AVS (it was shortened to jut "Approaching" in-game, though).

Part of the song sounds a bit like "Always Running" from Meta Runner, and that's meant to reference that AVS is working on a Meta Runner fan prequel called "Analyst: A Meta Runner Story."

This is also the first time I tried automating the phrases being said in Alter/Ego, what I used for Big Sis's vocals (in case if you didn't check the rest of the credits yet). Normally, I just let the phrases being said play automatically from the first line to the last line, but this time I felt like automating the process in which each phrase gets said, and it was tricky to find which phrase to automate at because the plug-in goes from 0 to 127, but Cakewalk automates from 0% to 100%, so trying to find the right percent in Cakewalk took some time. In the end, it made switching to some phrases a lot quicker due to the repetitive nature of the song.

Refamiliarize (Instrumental)

This is song 1 of the VS Big Sis mod. I volunteered to make the songs for this mod because I thought the concept was interesting.

For this song, I was mostly experimenting with the pentatonic scale with the vocals because I noticed some songs in FNF mods used the pentatonic scale (heck, my sister managed to play Nerves from Smoke 'Em Out Struggle by memory because of the use of a pentatonic scale, and that's how we found out about it). As for the instrumental, I heard this melody loop and wanted to build the song around it.

There's also some bits that kinda sound like the Among Us Drip theme and "Release" from Smoke 'Em Out Struggle, and they were intentional. The Among Us Drip theme soundalike I put in because I felt like it, having Big Sis mention Amogus in the lyrics. The "Release" soundalike I put in because I thought the song kinda sounded like "Release" anyways. I even made Big Sis sing "Now let's copy Garcello just because why not?"

For the song's title, I looked up some synonyms for the word "reunite," and the best I could find was "refamiliarize," so I went with that.

This is actually the first song I made in Waveform Free. I was gonna make this in Cakewalk by Bandlab (I already set up songs 2 and 3 in Cakewalk), but I was trying to automate Noiiz Filter in Cakewalk, and the rendered result sounded choppy, even with Read Automation turned on (my guess is that Cakewalk doesn't like that VST effect). I decided to try out Waveform Free because I heard plenty of good things about the free DAW, and automating Noiiz Filter actually worked, so I made the entirety of this song in Waveform Free. However, I ended up using DD Filter more than I used Noiiz Filter,  but oh well.

Refamiliarize

This is the bonus song for Eyecatcher - VS Cherry.

I thought it would be interesting if the mod had a bonus song in the Freeplay menu. I chose to do a remix combining "Blammed" and "South" because when Eureka Herald first showed me Cherry's sprites in action, they played South, with Cherry over Skid and Pump because spooky.

To make things easier, I went into the Cakewalk by Bandlab project for my BAD and AWFUL Mode remixes of "Blammed," saved as a new project, and combined both elements of the BAD and AWFUL Mode remixes (minus the Pappy Rappy honks) to make this remix.

The Toad Song

To celebrate the release of Meta Runner's final season (along with the 3rd anniversary of Meta Runner), I decided to remix Phantasm from the FNF Chaos Nightmare mod and make Tari and Lucinia sing it. I also wanted to challenge myself with using only free virtual instruments and loops, so I used whatever free stuff I have in my arsenal.

I based the vocals on JomJom412's "Phantasm But Sonic and Fleetway change turns too much" cover because I really like how the turns kept switching in it. I also remixed the instrumental to contains bits and pieces of (and the tempo of) "Devil's Gambit" by TheInnuendo because "Devil's Gambit" and "Phantasm" are both in the key of B-flat minor.

This is my late submission to the SiIvaGunner: King for Another Day Tournament (I submitted it later into the tournament, and it ended up not making it in). The remix is a rendition of "It's My World (And We're All Living In It)", the theme song from Milo Murphy's Law. 

For those of you who don't know, Milo Murphy's Law is a cartoon where Milo Murphy, voiced by Yankovic, goes through life dealing with the insane nature of Murphy's Law, which states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Yankovic also performs the theme song, and the song also appears on his album "Medium Rarities."

Waltz of the Whales from Area 51

Gerfer Jicklestan is king of one of the tiny universes within McKenzie Slimshady's body. He rules over the galaxies of the lanky humanoids.

My goal for this remix was to make it sound like a cross between VeggieTales and Xenoblade Chronicles. I know that sounds like a weird crossover (heck, somebody must've done that on a fandom wikia), but I digress.

I really wanted to use EastWest's Hollywood Orchestra more for a cinematic experience. I have a ComposerCloud subscription, after all, so I'd might as well use it. Aiko's Theme.....I guess

Here's a recreation of the song "Yagoura Society" from Corpse Party: Blood Drive, along with a touch of "Unreachable Voice" from Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash. I made this for Corpse Party AU: Spirit World Investigator Sachiko, a Corpse Party fan game I'm working on.

My intention for this remix is to be the themes for, as well as reflect, the cults Yagoura Society and Martuba's Tomb. The first segment is supposed to sound lonely, reflecting on how Misuto is the only member of the Yagoura Society left. The second segment is supposed to sound like something's missing, reflecting on how there's more members of Magari's cult Martuba's Tomb. Finally, both segments are put together in the end, reflecting my plan to have the cults merge together as the Yagoura-Martuba's Tomb Society because Sachiko said so and ships Misuto and Magari together (even though they're both mortal enemies).

The song title is gonna reference a joke in my fangame where Toshihisa refers to the Yagoura Society and Martuba's Tomb as "The Cults Who Don't Do Anything" because they haven't done much except fight each other and "not go to Boston in the fall."
