In der neuen Folge des Telekom Electronic Beats Podcasts spricht Gesine Kühne vor Publikum mit Richie Hawtin – einem der bekanntesten DJs und Produzenten aller Zeiten. Er teilt seine Erfahrungen aus mehr als 30 Jahren Clubkultur und erzählt vom Wunsch, das Zusammenspiel mit der Crowd kontinuierlich um neue Innovationen zu bereichern. Hawtin blickt darauf zurück, wie er als schüchterner Junge in der Detroiter Musikszene der 80er Jahre Fuß fassen konnte und zum Techno-Weltstar aufstieg. Weiterhin gibt der Tech-Visionär erste Einblicke in seine neue App CLOSER, die er gemeinsam mit Telekom Electronic Beats entwickelt hat. Mit Hilfe der neuen Anwendung, die Anfang September veröffentlicht wird, sollen Fans mit allen Ebenen der CLOSE-Show interagieren können, um so ein eigenes Set zu erstellen. Später wird es auch die Möglichkeit geben, CLOSE live und interaktiv zu streamen – CLOSE Combined hebt Hawtins CLOSE Live Show auf ein neues Level. Abgerundet wird der Live-Podcast durch eine Q&A-Runde mit dem anwesenden Publikum in den Räumlichkeiten der Factory Berlin.
