Following on from the very robust debut of his own label Failsafe, Juxta Position deviates back to the more melancholic aesthetic with which he initially made his mark back in 2013 on Mistress Recordings.

Drawing palpable influence from ambient electronica like Boards Of Canada, he then reframes the aesthetic, with the help of rhythmic anchoring, on the 12 minute opening opus “Eureka”.

However, not to disappoint lovers of the slightly harder, more uptempo, electronic beat, the flip then dishes up two significantly more pressurised techno pieces, the former “Made In Belgrade” more linear, the latter “Reimagined” more flamboyant.

This album by Deux Control is a smooth genre crossover paradise of 808s, Yamaha keyboards and deep mesmerizing vocals side by side with more hardcore synth elements found in bands like DAF or Nitzer Ebb.
Deux control’s sound is a mix your favorite soundtracks of electronic music with a large portion of body synth. It is sexy, cool, and a bit frightening. The music on “Sex Miami” is familiar and goes out to all listeners of all ages but especially to those in the French/Italian disco fandom out there. This is the kind of music an eighties international business traveller would listen when kicking back and clubbing after landing a fat new contract.
Deux control is the act that got bumped from the Miami Vice soundtrack last minute because being a bit too edgy for mainstream USA. They are the group that Giorgio Moroder tried to copy when he wanted to update his sound. Deux Control are the new rulers of psychedelic electric body-disco!

It's February. It's cold. It's time for Uncanny Valley's first release of 2021 to warm up any Techno head's heart with legendary yet mysterious artist CVBox. Three years have passed since the artist's LP So Ist Es Im Nadelwald, which was also out on Uncanny Valley. Now it's time for some TeqNoTv or four new takes mostly dedicated to the straight four to the floor genre, of course with various nuances like Super 78's dubby feel, Total CV's dreamy synthline-sequences, On/Off (Autoether)'s ambivalence of warm chords in a pure Techno-surrounding and the EP's opener Vio line's Acid-line and robotic vocals turning the track to a somewhat futuristic-sounding take that is so precisely arranged and sequenced that it's sharpness hefts one right into a dark sweaty club evoking picture of an a crowd dancing on the a razor's edge.

CVBox's EP TeqNoTv will be released on Uncanny Valley on February 17th, 2021.
