'Gypsy Souls' Ep is the second release by Gumbo Limbo Music and contains one new track by Miami based producer Richie Hell along with two new remixes from his fist EP 'Black Mambo'.

'Gypsy Souls' was inspired by the migration of the Gypsies from West India to Spain and the enchanting music they left behind.

Fernando (Silver City / 20-20 Soundsystem) remixes 'The Rain Song' and plays a very groovy bassline while Martes sings about curing desperation while dancing.

'Black Mambo' was reimagined by El Remolón (ZZK Records) as a dark vampiric balkan tropicalia with flutes from the Andes and trumpets from Transilvannia. Richie Hell himself takes care of the vocals to make this closer a sure fit in your next house party.

After his highly recommended Downbeat doublealbum „Tales from the City / Country“ in 2010, Tobitob comes back with a pocket full of new remixes in 2012.
Cram, Renegades Of Jazz, Marc ‘Dirty’ Deal, Chris Krawall, iGadget, Deja-Move, Apollo Lovemachine, Sebus and Tobitob himself reinterpreted and refreshed the music of the studio mastermind in their very own and unique style.

Deja-Move and Cram are starting up with their remixes, sounding like driving along a palmbeach on a hot summerday. Followed up by Tobitobs very own remix – a deep and excellent remake of the track „Horseback“. The entirely unreleased title „Mangare (2012 Re-Edit)“ reminds us a bit of a mixture between the „Nightridertheme“, Balkan and Electrobeats. A remarkable and strong technoid remix of „Ryhthm Rødsnek (w/ Fünf Sterne Deluxe)” was  delivered by Marc ‚Dirty’ Deal. Be surprised by the work and sound of Apollo Lovemachine, who follows his very own paths, remixing „First Sunrise (w/ DJ Coolmann (Visit Venus))“ in an avantgarde kind of way. Further journeys into Jazz or Deep House as well as Chris Krawall’s Electro orientated music are showing up the wide range of influences that are united on this remix album, ending up in a Dubstep remix by iGadget, who is showing us what the word ‚soundcollage’ can mean.

All in all this album grew into a strong, outstanding, modern and ambitioned electronic record, a must for all fans of Tobitob’s music or for those who want to get addicted to it.


01 Tobitob Sessionlab - Mossy Meadows (Deja-Move Remix)

RICHIE HELL transcends the terrestrial with his psychedelic take on intercontinental rhythms and uplifting mantric live shows. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he's widely known both as DJ and producer, he arrived in Miami in 2015 and quickly became a favorite behind the decks at clubs and festivals around the Magic City. An avid record collector, Richie absorbs influences from every reach of the musical spectrum, adding his universal steady beat to produce a groovy, shamanic experience. His original psych-infused electronic tunes are as satisfying on the dance floor as they are at a festival, where his legendary live performances include hieroglyphic visuals by Francisca Oyhanarte, 12-foot-tall inflatable cobras, and guest vocalists. These are just a few of the tricks in his magic bag, which have catapulted him to playing concerts and festivals all over the world.
