At the end of last year, I played my first ever official all night long set in fabric's divinely intimate RM3, celebrating 15 years of FUSE. 🕊 Those that joined me know it was one to remember as the vibe in that room was unreal.

Rich NxT - Serious (Snippet) [FUSE London]

Rich’s last outing for the influential imprint was large by any standards, spreading far beyond the FUSE dancefloors finding support from many places. Led by EP track ‘Serious’, which was heralded as one of the tunes of 2018 by Mixmag in their mid-year review, it got love from Seth Troxler and the Martinez Brothers at Circoloco, alongside heavy rinsing of ‘Brigade’ and ‘Eight’ by all the FUSE residents.
 
The ‘Hard To Be’ EP comes as another on-point three-track work from Rich that channels the same versatile spirit. ‘Wah’ is an uplifting slice of original house, mirroring the accessibility and fun of ‘Serious’ with a catchy riff that runs throughout. The track created an enormous buzz on the IOM group with hundreds of comments and I.D requests pouring in throughout the year, and soundtracked parties everywhere from Fuse’s raves at Studio 338 terrace in London, Sonus Festival and The Martinez Brother’s Cuttin’ Headz at ADE. ‘Interrobang’ is head-nodding brilliance as twisted bass and sampled attitude characterise the seven-minute peak time banger. ‘On The Rocks’ rounds out the EP as punchy kicks and buttery smooth bass mark this work of grooving minimalism, echoing the spirit of Fuse029’s ‘Eight’.
 
And so closes the chapter of this impressive body of work. In the process it’s proved what we already knew all along; his knack for providing fail-safe dancefloor ammunition for the Fuse faithful and beyond, remains as strong as ever.

I made this track especially for the Infuse Open Air at Studio 338 (2017). Kind of the moody little sibling of Serious, both of which got their first FUSE play that day. It was originally on XLR8R and a few peeps have told me the link is dead... so here you go again!!

What NxT presents the next instalment of the labels growing roster with 4 tracks of exceptional dance floor power! We are also going digital for the first time, bringing the music to more of the faithful DJs who support the sound. Cuartero needs no introduction kicking off the EP with his distinctive rolling groove, bringing together the best elements from house and techno. Aaran D’s ‘Nature's Illusion’ shows us just how easy it can be to combine beauty with grit as  the floating vocal rests precisely over fat bass and cool arrangement. As is a tradition with What NxT the remainder of the EP is given over to one of our newcomers, Antss. Also hailing from the UK like Aaron D, his two tracks Roasted and Automatic have been staples of our head honcho Rich NxT’s DJ sets this year. In three words, power, groove and individuality is how we would best describe Antss work. Check out the whole EP, its a banger!

Something special was developing in London's rave culture during the mid-2000's. A generation of like-minded artists and promoters with similar tastes in house and techno formed a genuine scene with a spirit and alchemy that has propelled its instigators far and wide. Rich NxT was enjoying being part of the movement, frequenting the many seminal East London venues we still talk about now.

Born in 2008, FUSE London carved its own unique position on the scene with its infamous Sunday free parties at 93 Feet East. As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. As a core FUSE artist, Rich has delivered 11 classy EPs on the FUSE London imprint. In October 2020, the debut album ‘Know the Score’ lands, his crowning career achievement. The 10-tracker spans the full breadth of the house genre and is the culmination of 20 years production work, taking influence from his varied involvement in music as a DJ, raver, drummer in bands and pirate radio devotee, devouring the sounds on Weekend Rush FM.

Elsewhere the DJ/producer draws on his strongly identifiable sound to run two vinyl imprints,NxT Records and What NxT. The tastemaker favourites draw influence from techno and minimal house, while never forgetting Rich’s raver roots taking influence from jungle and hardcore.

His DJ highlights include appearances at most of the scene’s major venues such as DC-10 (Paradise, Cuttin’ Headz) Watergate, Space, Amnesia, Robert Johnson, Warehouse Elemenstratt, Mint Warehouse, Tobacco Docks, Studio 338 and The Warehouse Project. At the same time, he is versatile enough to command the decks over long sets at intimate venues such as Hopetosse, Ibiza Underground, Bret and CDV. Festival appearances in 2019 included Cocoon in The Park, BPM and Mint Festival.

Releasing regularly, he’s gained the support of many other DJs including The Martinez Brothers, Tini, Marco Carola, Enzo Siragusa, Jamie Jones, WAFF,Steve Lawler, MEAT, Matthias Kaden, East End Dubs, Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything and Darius Syrossian.

Prior to his ‘Know The Score’ album dropping, Rich enjoyed an industrious first half of 2020, including a huge EP on WYLD, collaborative work with Darius Syrossian (Moxy Muzik) and remixes for INFUSE, Moan and SASH.

Meanwhile he continues to demonstrate a very keen ear with What NxT delivering the goods for new and established artists alike. Rich also continues his radio residency on Rinse FM with Fuse London and launches a new weekly show on Ibiza Global Radio
