Honey Tapes Mix

Palafico Honey are proud to present their third release Honey Tapes Vol. 1. The EP follows the success of their nu-disco inspired ‘Bigger Dreaming’, released on Editorial Records in late 2020 with remixes from label mates Funk District and Dave Allison. The release builds on the band’s debut as Cappa & Daniel-San which was released on Midnight Riot in 2018 and has gathered over half a million Spotify streams since release.

As a group who primarily wrote disco and dance tracks for the club and live stage, the closure of venues and the extensions to the lockdown forced a rethink into how, why and who they make
their music for. The result is a more distant, yet personal reflection, recorded separately in isolation but with the aim of ultimately being able to reconnect and share the songs in a more intimate environment.

Day ‘n’ Nite is an acoustic-soul reimagining of a childhood marmite classic. Swimming on the other hand is a lilting, dreamy ballad that cruises nonchalantly downstream, cool drink in hand.
