Sergio Amaro came to Fanzine School with a great idea. He heard a Fran Lenaers djset at Spook Factory in 1988, in which he mixes these two tracks: The Mole Stones - Manuela, and, Tragic Error - Tanzen.

He told me that he would like to do a version of both and I joined up for the project. Sergio has the vinyls so he recorded them digitally so I could remaster them and give them a more powerful sound thanks to new technologies. 
Then we uploaded the tracks to Moises.ai to extract the stems.
We went to action reviewing the mix that Fran Lenaers did in Spook since that's where the idea came from and we wanted to do something similar. 
Already in Ableton we fiddled and did our magic with this result for the dancefloor. 

Sergio spin the remake when he played at FEC 2023 (A Coruña), it worked great. Now we seize the moment as the original by The Mole Stones is the bso of the series ¨Quan no acaba la nit¨ (When the night doesn't end), so we decided we had to share it with you.

We hope you like it and share it.

Me dijo que le apetecía hacer una versión juntando ambos y me apunté al proyecto. Sergio tiene los vinilos así que los grabó en digital para que yo hiciera un remaster y darles un sonido más potente gracias a las nuevas tecnologías. 
Después subimos los temas a Moises.ai para extraer las partes.
Pasamos a la acción revisando la mezcla que hizo Fran Lenaers en Spook puesto que de ahí partió la idea y queríamos hacer algo similar. 
Ya en el Ableton trasteamos e hicimos nuestra magia con este resultado pensado para la pista de baile. 

Sergio probó el remake cuando pinchó en el FEC 2023 (A Coruña), funcionó genial. Ahora aprovechamos el momento ya que el original de The Mole Stones es la bso de la serie ¨Quan no acaba la nit¨ (Cuando la noche no termina), así que decidimos que teníamos que compartirlo con vosotros.

Pow-Low and PSYCLE.’s relationship continues to flourish as the producer serves up a fourth fantastic single on the label following his collaboration with award winning film-score composer Rainer Oleak back in January.
Pow-Low is a student of jazz star Pierre Favre, graduate of the highly acclaimed US music school ‘Full Sail University’, has been playing live since 13 and releasing music on vinyl since 17. He is skilled on the synclavier system, has worked at the legendary Record Plant studio in Hollywood and as in-house engineer at South Africa’s Bop-Studios. He has mastered music for Peter Gabriel as well as producing huge thrash metal act Coroner and was lead singer and producer of No Religion, the world’s first techno-metal band. On top of this he runs his own event Hertz, which has welcomed many big dance acts, and has been resident at various key clubs in Zurich. Now he shows another side to himself again with this new trio of tracks.
Perfectly warm deep house opener ‘Ghost Note’ takes its name from ghost notes, which are played very softly between the ’main’ notes. They bring the groove alive particularly here, set against funky drums recorded with a vintage ‘70s drum set at the legendary Abbey Road recording studios in London. The track has an epic break with thunderstorm sounds and dubby drones and a jazz tinged groove that brings real colour and heart to the dance floor.
The excellent ‘Cargo Cult’ on the other hand is big and pumping. The singing bassline was inspired by the good old speed garage days and is overlaid with bubbly keys and drones, filtered vocals and smeared pads that make it deep and spacious. A multi-dimensional harmonic break adds another layer and the whole thing oozes class.
Last of all, the superb ’Minigrip’ is a complex, multi-level minimal-techno track that took more than one year to make. It’s lively and ever evolving, with squelchy bass and scattered hits that will make any dance floor restless and energetic.
This is another hugely accomplished EP of richly produced house sounds from Pow-Low.

It’s a driving track with bass and synths that melt around each other as jazzy hi hats spin up top.

This is brilliantly colorful house music that exudes real soul and charm from start to finish.

His first step that will lead him to be one of the essential DJs of the Andorran night took place in 1998 in the pub La house del prat (Escaldes-Andorra), where he worked as a resident DJ for 2 years, combining his residence participating in musical events and private parties. A vital time for his development as a DJ.
