Your Buddy – ​“Hey, did you hear their gonna “reboot” (insert name of big movie franchise here) movie?

You – ​​“Oh yea? Who’s gonna play (insert name of main character from the franchise here)?”

Your Buddy – ​“According to E-News (insert some bigtime Hollywood actor’s name here) is up for role!”

You – ​​“What? No way! That actor sucks! - I would have gone with (insert name of lesser known, more obscure Hollywood actor, because you’re a huge cinephile and you want to flex your nerd knowledge) they would be perfect for the part”

Fantasy Casting Championship League
podcast!
 
Here’s what we do at the FCCL, - First we take everything that you love about Fantasy Football; - everything that you love about Fantasy Baseball; - everything that you love about Fantasy AFL and Fantasy Cricket – Then we take out all the SPORTS !!! – and replace it with Cinematic Hypotheticals (pitches),. So that you the audience get to play the most Nerdiest; - the most Pointless; - the most Niche podcast game ever!!!
 
Here’s how it works:
Each episode your hosts -  Rick “DubDubs” Foster &  Alec “the Last Dodo” Hall Go head-to-head to battle it out to see who will be the ultimate FAN-CASTER!!!!!!!
 
1. Your hosts choose an existing piece of source material, whether it be Movie, Book, Television, Animation, or Biographical (remember how we all lost our minds trying to decide who should play Joe Exotic in a Tiger King movie?!)
 
2. They then choose a hypothetical to go with the source material – (I.e. Re-cast Pulp Fiction, but if it were made in 1975, all actors must be age appropriate and must have been working as an actor in 1975).
 
3. Your hosts then casts their ‘First Draft’ of actors to play the roles chosen.
 
 
4. Each host must also choose a list of understudies (second choices), or “Benchwarmers” as we refer to them.
 
5. They each take turns in revealing who they would cast to play each character and we discuss/debate the decisions, until we each have our final casting list.

Note- Players cannot cast the same actor, unless it is for a different role. Otherwise player will have to choose a Benchwarmer.

 
6. Hosts then present their choices via Instagram (@the.last.dodo) where You the audience get to vote and decide Which of our choices will make the final cut.
 
 
Game Rules:
- Once the votes are tallied, 1 point is awarded to each player for characters chosen that receive the most votes.
- If a player gets a clean sweep (all of their choices win the poll) an addition of 3 points will be awarded.
- At the end of 10 rounds (episodes) the points are tallied and one of your hosts will be crowned the “Ultimate Fantasy Caster”
 
Loss of Points:
Points can be lost if…
- One player gets actor’s name wrong. (i.e. says John C. McGinley but meant to say John C. Reilly),
- Player confuses actor with another. (i.e. Zach Braff but actually meant Dax Shepherd).
- Player chooses an actor who has passed away (but didn’t realise).
- Player chooses an actor who does not fit within the rules of the specified hypothetical.
- The choice to Cast actors who have now been “Cancelled”  (i.e. Louis C.K.) can be be defended as long as other player agrees to it. If other player does not agree to your reason for choice, then it goes towards points lost.

 
In these instances 1 point will be deducted from that player’s total.
