In 2022, coming out of that very weird lockdown, I was starting to sketch in the studio. I made Life Is But A Dream, and I had no idea what to do with it. I knew I was stepping away from my own label Hospital Records, and that was it. I played the track to my agent Chris BluMarTen and he instantly said "send it to Goldie. That would be a vibe to release on Metalheadz". I loved the idea so I did, not expecting for a minute that Goldie would like it. To my surprise, he called straight back, and said he liked it and he’d like to release it.

This felt surreal - All my D&B had only been released on Hospital ever since 1996. And now I was looking at a release on the OG of foundation labels.

G said make another tune, and I was tossing ideas back and forth with Conrad Subs, and we came up with a beat we liked. I’ve been following Genesis Elijah for years, always loved his lyrics and flow, and I sent it him, and he came up with the vocal lines for All On Top. Again, Goldie loved it, and we had a release ready to go.

I’m beyond proud and grateful for the opportunity to release on Metalheadz.
