Nach mehr als acht Jahren ist es nun endlich so weit: Daniel Nitsch und Andreas Henneberg alias The Glitz veröffentlichen ihr erstes gemeinsames Album am 20. März 2015 auf ihrem eigenen Label – Voltage Musique Records. Mit insgesamt 14 Titeln zeigen die beiden Musiker, was in den letzten zwei Jahren der gemeinsamen Studioarbeit entstanden ist. Wir sprachen mit ihnen über den Longplayer, wieso man sich für ein Album bereit fühlen muss und dass auch die Hochschule für Musik- und Theater in Rostock eine Rolle beim Produzieren von “No Drama” spielte.

Frenchman Jeremy Villecourt aka Croquet Club has become an Anjunadeep fan favourite over the past two years with his unique brand of delicate downtempo electronica. With support from international tastemakers like Zane Lowe, Jason Bentley and Rob Da Bank under his belt, and coverage from The Line Of Best Fit, Mixmag and Indie Shuffle, Croquet Club now returns with his most expansive project to date – ‘Love Exposure’.

Following in the footsteps of legendary French acts like Air, Sebastian Tellier and Etienne De Crecy (who featured Croquet Club’s ‘Jacuzzi’ in his latest BBC Essential Mix), the six track mini-album sees Jeremy showcase his quirky style in true gallic fashion.

The blissful beatlessness of ‘Andante’ ushers us into Villecourt’s musical world, before his own vocals appear in the soulful ‘Careless Love’. ‘Summer’ is a joyous slice of dancefloor fun, melodic basslines bouncing beneath wistful vocals.

‘Go Slow’ will be familiar to Anjunadeep regulars after it’s appearance on the iTunes #1 Dance album ‘Anjunadeep 07’ recently – an intricate fusion of soft piano and rolling groove. Jeremy’s vocals take centre stage in 'Eternité' where his breathy lyrics, sung in French, loop hypnotically above bubbling atmospherics, before ‘You Left Me’ ends things on a beautifully contemplative note.

Multi-talented musician and producer Monolink joins Sabo's Sol Selectas Records clan this month with a splendid cut in 'Burning Sun'. Dave Seaman remixed Tim Engelhardt’s “Vega“ and this one stays in your mind for hours. 3000 Grad founder Mollono.Bass comes with a new version of “Multiple Life“ by Einmusik - one for the hot nights and the festivals around the globe. We asked Julian Wassermann about his fave Einmusika track and he picked “La Danse Du Scorpion“ by Sébastien Léger - the one which made the clubs shaking in 2017 and is now putted to the next level with a darker attitude and clubby sounds. The latest release by the Mexican avant-garde label Akumandra is founder Sainte Vie’s three track auditive voyage: From Desolate Places and Forgotten Times. Going beyond previous experimentation with sound assemblage and sampling from non-western musical traditions, Sainte Vie crafts his signature mesmerizing soundscapes by combining dreamlike synth textures, monumental drops and vibrant melodies that feel deeply melancholic. Insistent arpeggios and expansive build ups bind the tracks together in an ebb and flow of dynamic energy.

High Seas 
Overlaid synth patterns, like waves, propel us into a mixed-percussion drop that settles on a harmonic calm before another surge of synth arpeggios drive us farther along into the thrilling sensation of voyage.

Whale
Disembodied vocals, like cetaceans communicating, echo each other, creating a ghostly undercurrent to the vigorous percussion and futuristic synth arpeggios.

Darko
Backed by an eerie melody and punctuated by a lead-heavy bass drum, a deep, guttural voice plunges us into the dark flow of time.

Spectral in theme and profoundly engaged with the sensorial quality of music, Sainte Vie’s EP transports the listener to a place that feels distant like uncharted waters, yet familiar like a memory.
